"Ate Carmen mag mag ice-cream na lang tayo, ang init-init mag ka-kape ka" Pearl, my youngest friend is complaining habang nag lalakad kami papunta sa Scrumdiddily's an ice-cream shop here in the town of Kilkenny.
"Para nga gising na gising ako mamaya sa hospital at para din magising ka na at maka-move on ka na sa kapatid ko" sagot ko sa kanya.
"Awts gege, six years ko pa lang naman na crush si Lucas, hindi mo ba alam na 'patience is the key'" she held up two finger on both of her hand just to emphasize the phrase 'patience is the key' .
"Yep, six years and counting but didn't he already told you na hindi ka niya gusto?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang nadito kami sa queue sa Scrumdidily's.
"He did. Pero hindi siya sure I think." tumawa siya
"Hi what can I get you?" Tanong ng isang staff dito.
"Can we have two Scrummy tub please, thank you" si Pearl
While waiting for ice cream, Pearl is telling me about her ganaps and things last week sa college. We got called for our ice creams and Pearl insisted to pay for them.
"Salamat shoppee" I smiled at her.
We talked more, or should I say, she talked more. Itong si Pearl napaka-daming kwento, one story leads to another. Her being talkative is actually my most favourite traits of her, if you got stuck in an Island with her, you'll never get bored. Her stories about her college led to my brother which is in the same year as her, pero mag-naiba sila ng course and building, but this girl here is telling me how she finds a way to see her "bhe" ( which is my brother) whenever she gets the chance. Pursigido much. Our chikahan got interrupted by a phone call from my brother.
"Hello?"
"Ate saan na da kayo mag sisimula na"
I checked my watch for the time, ay shemay alas tres na pala.
"Yep we'll be there in a little bit sorry" I dropped the call and turned to Pearl.
"Hoy and dal-dal mo mali-late na tayo sa Bible study" I reminded her at natatawa din dahil nalunod na rin ako sa mga istorya niyanghindi matapos-tapos , grabe buti hindi siya nauubusan ng laway ka-katalak niya. Tumayo na kaming dalawa ngunit napa-upo ako ulit dahil sa mainit na hot chocolate na natapon sa aking uniporme, huhuhu, may pasok pa ako yung uniform ko basa na.
"I sowwe mom—-my" a little girl with a curly hair and a pink flower hair is apologising to me, knot mo bhie.
"Ate may anak ka na pala di mo ako in-update" pang-aasar ni Pearl. I squatted infront of the little girl.
"Hey baby, it's okay, where's your mommy?" tanong ko kay baby while wiping her face, kasi may mga chocolate pa yung pisngi niya, ang amos.
"You mom—-my" she's pointing at me, LUH! bhie ako daw ang nanay niya.
"Oh tamo, ate ikaw daw mommy niya" si Pearl.
"Moana?"a man is shouting inside the shop.
"Paps?" Kumurap-kurap ang bata sa akin.
"Baby!" Kinuha sa akin nung lalaking nasigaw kanina, si baby sa akin
"Paps, mom—my, look"again Moana is pointing at me, LUH ako daw talaga.
"Sorry, she must've thought that you're her mother, parehas kayo kasi kayo ng buhok."the man explained.
"Ah i see" I runned my fingers through my hair while chuckling.
" I'm Matthew by the way, and this right here is Moana Grace" he's offering his hand.
"Carmen" tinanggap ko ang kamay niya then I smiled at him.
"ATE, enebe, ni-chat ako ni Lucas" sabi ng nangingisay ni Pearl. Kumunot ang noo ako kasi para siyang baliw. I think na-weirduhan din si Matthew.
"Oh? Ano daw sabi?" tanong ko, she showed me her phone. I noticed how she has bunch of messages for my brother but he rarely replies to her. Poor Pearl. His text said

Pearl paki sabi kay ate bilisan na niya thanks :)
"ihhhhh ateeee... May smiley face pa" pilit akong ngumiti sa kanya at tumango.
"Well, i guess we have to go now, Nice to meet ye guys" pamama-alam ko sa mag-ama.
"Mommy go?" tanong ni Moana sa kanyang tatay.
"Moana, she' s not Mommy, We're going to Mommy in a while okay? I'm sorry Carmen, it was nice meeting ye guys too, I'm sorry for you wet scrubs." lumabas na ang mag-ama sa Scrumdidly's.
We went out as well and stopped by my house so I could change, then we went to one of our friend's house.Iniluwa ng pintuan si Lucas nang ito ay bumukas.
"Hi Bhe—- I mean Lucas" bati ni Pearl sa kapatid ko with matching ngiti hanggang tenga plastered on her face. Tinanguhan lamang siya ng kapatid ko. But Pearl seemed to be used to that and sapat na sa kanya yun.
"Sorry late kami, natapunan ako ng Hot chocolate kanina" I explained to them.
We're gathered in the living room.
"Where's Sue? Zach?" tanong ni Ate Evangeline who's going to lead our Bible study.
"Bakit mo ako tinatanong?" tanong ni Zach.
"Kayo lagi mag-kasama eh" well she has a point kaya nag tanguhan kami.
"Hmm... So kapag wala si Joshua sa'yo ako mag ta-tanong?" tinaas ni Zach ang kanyang kilay. Kuya Josh looked confused.
"Sana all pinag-hahanapan" singit ni Ismael.
"Sana-all" sabay-sabay naming tugon nila Pearl, Lucas, at Gertie. Nag-katinginan kami at nag tawanan.
"Pero where is she really?" tanong ni Pearl.
"Nasa University, may klase daw" sagot ni Zach.
"See? Alam mo naman pala eh, pinahaba mo pa" Ate evangeline chuckled at umili-iling.
"But isn't saturday?" tanong ko..
"Extra class daw ewan ko, tanong mo doon sa manliligaw niya" tamad na sagot ni Zach. Tumango-tango na lamang kami.Ate Evangeline started the Bible study. After the Bible study we proceeded to our praying circle.
"Anyone has a prayer request?" tanong si Ate.
"Uh.. I applied in a Nursing Home, so.. Hopefully matatanggap ako" i said.
"Really!? Saan?" tanong ni Ate.
"Sa Thurles eh, medyo malayo" i replied to her.
"You're leaving us?" she formed a sad face and chucked.
The others also said their prayer requests and we prayed.After our Bible study, nag chikahan kami for a while but i had to go because of my work others stayed there and i think some of them were going to sleepover there. Kasi matagal na din kaming hindi nakakapag hangout with each other due to all jobs and stuff.
