At the moment, I have only read of what I believe to be the first chapter of the book. It opened up to be very promising, however I did have some minor issues. In this chapter, you meet your main character, Rayne, as well as step-sister Bridgette. The description of Bridgette as "a painted up whore" turned me off from the story. I feel like the story plot can move on fine without the cliché that heavy makeup equals a whore. Moving on with that, it needs to make sure the main character does not follow the "I'm not like other girls" trope either. Overall, I look forward to reading more chapters and seeing what happens with the main character.
