Today was finally the day. We were leaving for the UK. We had a total of 10 bags and Eliza and I shared a little more than half of that.
It took 5 hours to get checked in and start waiting for the plane boarding. Maddie and I decided to get Starbucks and asked if anyone else wanted to come, no one did.
Gabi had pulled out headphones and her phone and started listening to music. Eliza did the same. So did Will.
Yep they were the life of the party. Maddie and I headed to the Starbucks and ordered. After what felt like hours they gave us our drinks and we ran back because they had started to call people to get on the plane.
I found the person that was taking me on the plane. I was 14 and all my friends were 15 so my mom made sure I had a person at least making sure I made it to the plane safely. I felt like crying I was so humiliated.
"You okay Sam?", Maddie said.
"Yeah I'm fine.", I knew that by trying to sound upbeat was a big mistake. Maddie knew something was up, as did Eliza.
They were great. All my friends were. We were all smiling uncontrollably as we boarded but I was still humiliated.
