Player by Choice, Manager by Default

Part 8

            -Since I obviously don't know what I am doing I will play as a wing spiker this time, and you wink at Semi.

Everyone chuckles lightly since you are not taller than five feet three, you obviously brush it off and get ready to play again. The game resumes then Semi signs you for an A-quick you get ready for your spike as you start your approach you see Tendou following your every move. You think you are going to try a hypothesis you have about Tendou. His guess blocking is simply astonishing to you, he makes split-second judgment base on what he sees and knows and is more than often correct in his assessment but what if there is nothing for him to pick on. So as you go in for your spike you do not look at where you want to aim the ball since you know where you will aim you decide to look straight into Tendou's eyes. 

Tendou is taking aback since no body has ever look at him in the eyes which such intensity, it is like something lit up inside of him. Since Tendou was taken by surprise he was not able to perform his usual blocks, so you make a point for your team. It is now your time to serve and you are ready to make one of those Oikawa serve of yours. You throw the ball in the air and start your approach and make a service ace but yet again luck is not on your side and you fall on the ground once more. You start screaming (because your knee hurt) so loud that the girls from the neighbouring gym come to see if everyone is okay only to see you crying on the floor.

You are taken to the hospital one more time. You wake up to Osana, Mikoto, Hirano, Goshiki, Semi and your brothers. You try to recall what happen and as you clear your mind you try to sit up but can't and that is when you see the cast on your leg.

             -OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH MMYYYYYYYY FFFFFUUUUCCCKING GOOOOOOOOOOD, you scream while crying, why does it only happen to me.

             -What happen, asks Osamu.

            -Well you see since I couldn't play volleyball I sign in as the manager for the boys team in the meantime. As I was giving tips for them to improve Shirabu-san did not like what I said and challenge me to a match and...

          -But sisi you knew you were not supposed to play, Osamu cuts you off.

          -Well I guess we have a certain Shirabu to kill now don't we Osamu, adds Atsumu.

         -Please don't, and yes I knew but I wanted to show what I was capable of.

          -Well this is what you get when you try to show off, Atsumu says.

         -Pffft whatever, but hey guys thanks for coming, you say to Goshiki, Semi, Osana, Mikoto and Hirano

         -We are simply glad you made it out okay, we though you were going to die back there, they respond.

They all say their goodbye and go back to Shiratorizawa. Only Osana and your brothers are left. They ask you if you are going to be okay with your cast and you answer yes, I know Hirano, Semi and Goshiki will help me so it is all good. You must stay the weekend in the hospital so Osana propose to bring you back to school on Monday. Little did you know she took a liking to the captain of the girl's club. Monday comes faster than expected since Osana spend the whole time with you (your brothers went back home since they knew you were in good hands). You check out of the hospital and thank Dr Umemia once more and head back to school with Osana.

           -Aki-chan sorry for making you come all the way here but thank you so much for making my weekend at the hospital bearable.

           -Of course, Y/n-chan, I just hope that you will stop hurting yourself at some point, moreover I got to meet that pretty teammate of yours.

           -You mean Hima-chan.

           -Yup.

           -Oh I see that is why you are coming back to school with me.

You keep teasing her about the (girl) team's captain on your way back. It is still early when you arrive to school, so you head to the gym since you know there is a morning practice and you show to Osana where the girl's practice is held. You open the gym's door and the whole team turn around to see you walking in with clutches. Surprisingly to you, Tendou is the first one who runs to you and help you to the bench next to the court. Semi and Goshiki  join it letting you know that they are incredibly happy that you are okay now. Thereafter, the rest of the team walk to you and, also let you know that they are relief you are doing fine even though you have a cast on. The week goes well, and it is now Friday afternoon and you are at practice with the boys. While they are practicing you talk to Coach Washijō about a practice idea you have, and he listen to you and agree that it is a good idea so you will do that in the next week. As practice gets to an end Ushijima calls out Semi and goes:

             -Semi could you please accompany our manager to her place since I know your grand parents also live in Hyōgo.

           -Of course, Ushijima, it'll be a pleasure, he winks at you.

Tendou in the background has a weird feeling building inside of his chest his fists are even clench, but he does not know what to make up of this reaction since he has never felt that way before. He decides to ignore it and go to the changing room with the others. You on the other hand wish everyone a good weekend and wait for Semi. Finally, Semi gets out of the changing room and you two head to the bus stop towards Hyōgo. During the six hours drive you and Semi talk about manga/anime, since you have clutches you decide to put your Wednesday coffee date on hold. He asks you about how it was back at Inarizaki and you guys get to know each other better and turns out that Semi is gay and that is why he said that Aizawa was a fine man to which you agreed. 

He then asks you about your love life and you just explain that you have been fucked over several time and that it is harder for you to be emotionally vulnerable with someone now. Both of you ended up falling asleep and you wake up to the sound of "this is the terminus please exit the bus and do not forget any of your belonging". Semi propose to accompany you to your place to make sure that you are safe. You thank him and ask him where his grand parents live so your brothers can drive him to their place. He says that his grand parents live two streets down, so it is not a problem for him to walk. You head inside and greet your brothers with a big hug.
