Betty was fixing fixing the books on the selves. She was making sure all the books were even. As she was running her fingers over the spines of the books she noticed one of the books were uneven. "Shit!," Betty mumbled quietly to herself. "That aggravates me too," crap, she didn't even notice that the bell had rang. She walks up to the front desk. "Yeah. I can't stand when the books are uneven. I should stop rambling, how may I help you?," Betty asked. "Well, um, I'm looking for...something. Okay, okay, I don't know what to get. What do you recommend?," the unknown man asks. "I definitely recommend Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass if you're into poetry, but it depends on what genre you prefer," she replied. "I prefer romance. It gives me the love life I don't have." he tells her. Betty laughs. "You're funny, but why are you buying something alone?," she asks. "It's my birthday today actually. My family doesn't care for my birthday so I usually buy myself a book," "Why are you spending your birthday alone? How about this...I'll give you my number. We can talk over the phone so I'll fill your void on this very dreadful day!," Betty takes a sticky note and writes down her number. She hands it him. "There," she winks.

A/n: I'm sorry this is so short. I really like it though!
