He never knew what a loving caress of the cheek felt like, or if its true that it's warmer when two bodies huddle together on a cold winter night. He even forgot his name, his identity, if he was even human. All he knew were the four walls that had surrounded him for the past 10 years. Trapped. Forgotten. Rotting.

Relief will come one day, he thought to himself. When his heart stops beating and his limbs turn stiff on the dirt floor of his enclosure. Until then, he could only lay still, praying that the walls will collapse.
