October 13 1993
It had been Richies 15 birthday. All of the losers, Beverly Marsh, Bill Denbrough, Mike Hanlom, Ben Hanscon and Stanely Uris all took Richie to the pumpkin patch for his birthday. Richie was running to find the biggest pumpkin when he spotted Bowers. Shit! But Bowers was focused on someone. It had looked like the new kid in school.. Eddie Kasprak.
"I promise it was a accident!" Eddie had said in a panicked voice backing away from Bowers. "Listen here *f slur* that didn't seem like no accid-" Richie had interrupted him by throwing a pumkin at his head. "AY BOWERS. OVER HERE."
Eddie looked over at the tall boy. His hair was blowing in the light fall breeze. He had large glasses sitting on his nose and a oversized floral button up shirt that wasn't buttoned up. He was relieved until he looked back at Bowers. He was sitting up with pumkin guts all over him. "RUN!!" Richie yelled.
All of this noise attracted the other losers. They had seen Richie and another boy running away from Bowers who had pumpkins guts smashed all over him. "What's going on" Beverly had said. "Is t-t-t-that B-b-bowers" Bill said. "I think so but who's that boy next to Richie" Bev replied. "I think it's the new kid... Eddie" Ben replied. "EVERYONE COME ON" Richie yelled at the losers. Bowers had seemed very mad so they followed with no questions. They got to a small barn and slammed the doors shut.
"We should have lost him" Richie said panting. "What the hell just happened!" Beverly asked. "Well I was trying to find the biggest pumkin when I came across Bowers looking like he was about to attack Eddie here so I threw a pumkin at Bowers. Now he's mad" Richie replied. "No shit he's mad." Stan replied. All of them trying to catch there breath.
Eddie then said, "Thanks guys. If not for you I'd probably be dead. I'm Eddie, you?" "Beverly, but you can call me Bev." I'm Mike." "Stanely" "I'm B-b-bill" "Ben." "And I'm Richie." They all smiled at each other until they heard someone at the barn door...
