Chapter 2: I'm Broken Do You Hear Me?

Recap: Liam jumped to the door and and pulled it open to a crying Miri. 'Miri?' Liam asked, looking quite worried. End Of Recap.

Miri's POV

'Louis.... you like me?' I asked. I couldn't have heard him right. No one but my family has ever said they liked me. Everyone at my school turned on me when Liam left for the show, saying he left because he didn't like me and wanted to get away. I knew it wasn't true, but it still hurt. A lot. Liam didn't know about it though. I knew if he did, he would get all worried and I didn't want that reflecting on his work.

I came out of my trance as Louis answered. 'Um..... err..... yeah?' It came out more of a question. He does like me. He likes me. I didn't hear wrong. OK, Miri, get a hold of yourself before you hyperventilate. I slowly walked up and hugged him, showing how thankful I was. He was stiff from shock at first, but after a few seconds, he hugged back, pulling me closer and holding me tighter.

I smiled a real smile and laughed, something I hadn't done since Liam auditioned. It felt great to know I wasn't a complete nobody or a failure in life, as people called me. I'm glad I graduated. But that only stopped the physical abuse, not the verbal. Twitter showed that. I used to have Facebook, but after a while, I deactivated it. I only had my Twitter to keep up on Liam's life without having to text him when he might be busy. He clearly didn't have time to check my Twitter, thank God.

After around a minute of hugging, Liam fake coughed and we quickly jumped apart for the second time today, faces red with awkward smiles. 'Don't mean to interrupt, but the pizza is bound to be getting cold by now.' He said, laughing slightly 'OK. Let's eat, I'm hungry!' I responded, whining like a little kid, keeping my smile. Liam and Louis burst out laughing like I had just said something insanely funny. 'What?' I asked confused. 'You sound like Niall.' they said in sync. They laughed a little more at their unplanned unison. I rolled my eyes. 'Who's Niall?' I asked, confused again.

'Oh yeah. Niall is one of my band mates. Along with Harry and Zayn... Which reminds me .... I'll have to introduce you some time. And tell management about you, which shouldn't be a major issue... Tomorrow maybe?' Liam trailed, going off into his own little neatly organized world. 'Uh, Liam, pizza?' Louis said. Clearly he was used to Liam's side-tracked-ness. 'Oh, right.' Liam said, snapping out of his trance.

After eating, Louis decided he would stay for a film Liam and I planned on watching. Liam put in the movie and as it started to play, I rolled my eyes. Toy Story. Of course. 'I'm going to go make some popcorn.' Liam said. After he left, I sat on the couch next to Louis. 'So... about what you heard earlier... sorry if I creeped you out.' Louis explained quietly, peeking at me through his lashes.

'Don't worry about it; you didn't creep me out.' I stated, smiling. 'Not to seem full of myself or anything, but.... do you feel the same? .. But if you don't, that's OK too!' He exclaimed, rushing on the last sentence. 'Yes, Louis.' I answered simply. I had not only told Louis my feelings, but myself also.

His face lit up like Christmas and he broke into a huge smile. He layed his head on my shoulder and hugged me tightly. 'Louis! Can't! Breathe!' I exclaimed, giggling. 'Oops! Sorry!' He said not-so guiltily. Louis pulled away. I giggled a little more before cuddling into him, smiling slightly. Usually I wouldn't do this kind of thing, but I just felt so comfortable around Lou. 'AWWWW!' I heard a familiar voice say before cuddling into Louis more, blushing as he just laughed.

'Liam! Just .... watch your childish movie!' I said. That was the best comeback I could think of. We sat back and watched the movie, Louis and I cuddled the whole time. Not like couple cuddling, but like, I-think-you're-cute-as-a-friend cuddling, if that makes sense. About halfway through, Louis pulled out his phone, and I could hear him typing. He stopped and set it down. Suddenly, Li's phone went off and he looked at the screen and smiling.
