I wake up. Boom! Shockwave! Jolt up! I just wake up, and nothing else.

Now you may or may not have experienced a strange event after suddenly jolting up from the dream world to the real world where typically, two thoughts come zapping into your head like a  lightbulb being switched on. "Who am I," and "Where am I" are what would primarily crash in first.

That is what happened to me when waking up in that claustrophobic metal hallway. But I remembered who I was faster than remembering what this prison moving freely upon the blue sea was. My name is, Minus. I'm an ordinary 11 year old boy. That previous part is maybe what you were thinking, I was thinking that also. Little was I aware of though, I awoke with my own supernatural ability. I'll get into that ability later.

Of course, once you wake up from a nightmare you would usually start moving. As in, get out of your bed and start searching for a family member or your legal guardians for comfort, that is if you were a little kid. But that aside I'll get on what happened.

I then remembered where I was, I was on an aquatic prison that moves freely across the ocean sea. This jail was called "The Maw" and according to the children who work here this is also rumored to be a place where monster-like and morbidly obese guests aboard and have a banquet that give a completely new meaning to the deadly sin "Gluttony."

What was the first thing I did after remembering all that crap? I got up to press on, and see if I can find a way out. That last part, I could have done easy. I mean, I've been all over the Maw. I have seen every corner, wall, door, you name it, I have seen it. All except what the outside looks like. How is that? I live in the vent system of the Maw. It's how I manage to escape any of the adults here. They're pretty freaky if you ask me.

Anyway, I got up on my small feet. Began sneaking around these vents. It was dark, but again, I have seen everything in the Maw so I knew where I was going as if I was blind. It felt like an eternity I was in there. Ladders and those sneaky intersects where one of the tubes is vertical. It makes you wanna jump like you're about to fall into hell. Eventually though, I notice one of the walls in the vents was ripped off. Well not entirely ripped off but rather there was a hole that looked like it was 4 time my body volume.

What happened next made my blood glitch cold like an iceberg. A door opened in the room, that man always sickened me when I would glance at him. I'm not sure what it was that made me disturbed. His freakishly long body? Or was it his face, infinitely wedged open? Or maybe was it just the fact he only had one arm? Or that his only arm has two deformed and twisted fingers.

Oh that Repairman, purposefully or accidentally, bright or dark, close or far, sleeping or awake, friendly or hostile. He never fails to provoke my emotion of fear.

That Repairman, if you don't know and you most likely don't, fixes any kind of dent or leak or, any kind of physical break that happens on The Maw

That Repairman, if you don't know and you most likely don't, fixes any kind of dent or leak or, any kind of physical break that happens on The Maw. At least that's what I keep telling to myself, as that is what he seems to do. I even saw a child lose her life to him once.

You've reached the end of published parts.
