***Luke’s POV***
As the mates and I finished up tour in the beginning of August I was finally able to stay with Kat the weeks before the wedding, but now the wedding was only a few days away. My family had flown in along with the mate’s parents and siblings too. My mum, dad, Ben and Jack had been staying at Kat’s house the past few days but now it was time to head down to Stone Harbor where the wedding will be.
Ashton and I were packing the black SUV with suit cases and other boxes of additional decorations. Since we had a lot of stuff to bring down, we had to take two cars, so Kat, Kati (Kat’s Maid of Honor), Ash and I were driving down in one car while Mike (my best man), Cal, Kay and Gill drove down in the other, we were just waiting for them to show up so they could follow us down.
“You nervous?” Ashton asked me as we sat on the edge of the trunk of the car since we finished putting everything in there.
“No it’s more of an anxious excited.” I confessed, sounding apprehensive.
“Well everything is going to be great so you have nothing to worry about.” Ashton cheered me up while patting me on the back. “Katharine’s an awesome girl, you guys were made for each other, I can tell in the way you two interact with each other.” He added.
“Thanks mate.” I smiled as my cheeks became red from the compliment.
Katharine and Katianne walked out of the house, our families following behind them, talking and carrying long dry-cleaning bags that had their dresses in them.
“Do we need to bring anything else?” I asked Katharine when she reached the car.
“Nope.” Kat smiled.
“You have everything?” Katharine’s mum asked as Kat hung the bag from one of the hooks hanging from the ceiling of the car.
“Yes.” She responded as I closed the trunk of the car.
“You excited?” My mum asked.
“Is that even a question?” Kat said causing everyone to laugh.
Our mums continued to ask us questions only delaying us to start our four hour journey.
“Mom we got it all under control.” Katharine said interrupting her mum so she would stop asking so many questions.
“Alright, alright.” She said backing off. Next thing we know, another black SUV pulled into the drive way and parked but left the car running.
“Who’s ready for a wedding?” Michael excitedly yelled, sticking half of his body out of the driver seat window and everyone else in the car rolled down their windows and started cheering.
“We’ll see you in a few days.” Kat said hugging her mum and we quickly said our goodbyes. As our families started to step onto the lawn to get out of the way so we would be able to get out of the drive way, the four of us walked around the car so we could get in.
I sat in the driver’s seat, Kat took the passenger seat and Kati and Ashton took the back seats.
“You ready?” I asked turning to Katharine.
“More than ever.” She smiled and kissed me.
Michael pulled out of the drive way first and waited in the street to follow us while we pulled out too. Kat plugged her iPod into the connection cord so we could listen to music through the speakers instead of the radio and we started our trip down to Stone Harbor. Keeping one hand on the wheel, I took Katharine’s hand in the other as we started driving.
“Let’s do this.” I said not being able to stop smiling.
