The Curious case of Park MinJae

This is Park MinJae

MinJae was born
'broken'

She never smiled she never found anything funny

MinJae was born into a family of four

Her father
Her mother
Her sister
Her brother
And her

Her mother immediately knew Jae wasn't like the rest of them

Jae didn't cry she pointed to what she wanted
Her first words weren't 'ma ma' or 'da da'
They were 'mom' and 'dad'

She always had a straight face

2003

One day her mom gave her money to go to the ice cream truck down the street

Jae was skipping with her mini Chanel bag her mother bought for her

She patiently waited for her turn and when she ordered the ice cream she wanted the lady running it said that they were out

Someone then tapped her shoulder
She turned around to meet a boy her age

He gave her his ice cream

"Yes?" She asked

"This- this is the ice cream you wanted" he said giving it to her

She then watched him walk away
She could tell that he really wanted it

She got a different ice cream and ran after him

"Excuse me" she said

"Oh hi again" the boy said

"I think you left this" she said giving him back his ice cream

"But you wanted this one.. didn't you?" He asked confused

"I did, but I can handle not getting what I want" she said licking her new ice cream

They sat together on a bench and talked
They instantly clicked

"What's your name" she asked while wiping her hands with a sanitizing wipe

"Oh I'm Jimin" he said putting his hand out

"I'm MinJae" she said shaking his hand

"MinJae is a pretty name" he smiled

"I- I like your a smile" she said shyly

"I'm sure you have a pretty smile too" he said

"I don't know how to smile" she said looking down

"Dont be sad" he said grabbing her hand
"It's okay, I can wait" he said hugging her

"Come on, let's take a walk" he said pulling her

"Okay, okay fine!" She said happily

And that's how she met the love of her life
