VentMates, A Among Us Short Story

Chapter 1

"Alright Libby, can you go do something in the cafeteria for daddy?" said the bleeding crewmate as he hid the imposter from view. His helmet was cracked and she saw her dad's grey eyes.

Yellow gently patted Libby's head as she nodded. "Get me a cupcake okay baby?" he says, pushing her towards the vent as purple stalked forward, his needle-like tong licking his moldy grey teeth.

Libby nodded as she hopped in the vents. "Hurry baby, I'll be there soon," Yellow promised, facing the monstrous imposter.

Libby didn't hurry. "Yellow, you traitor, you were supposed to kill with me" the things growled. She looked back and saw her father slump. he fell to the metal floor, and a pool of blood started pooling around the brightly colored wires.

Libby shook with sobs as she slipped into the vents. She couldn't move. "Neither can Pappy" she thought taking off her helmet.

Her bronze hair fell around her shiny yellow suit and she wiped the tears falling across her speckled cheeks.

"Are you okay?" she heard someone say. She looked up and saw a red minicrew mate.

She shook her head. "What happened?" he asks, coming closer to her. He was clearly in his teens, still had a childish face, but his ees looked like he could have been older.

"Whats your name?" he asked her as she hugged her knees.

"L-Libby" she croaked. She could barely speak.

The boy observed she was ver young, and probably witnessed what they all witnessed.

"Im MeatBall, nice to meet you Libby" he says, trying to make her feel better.

She burst into tears and started sobbing into her knees.

The boy gave up on trying to talk to her and instead hugged her.

"Shh, Shh, its okay, I know" he softly spoke to her, trying to help calm her down.

After a while, she had fallen asleep in his arms, he sighed as he looked at her.

He cocked his head at the sound of something dripping.

He noticed the horrendous odor of metal and cringed.

He saw the dark red liquid dripping over the vent and he closed his eyes.

He started moving Libby to the drop vent and slid down.

Under the Skeld was the storage area for LAZER refeuling, food and extra space suits.

He laid Libby down into some soft carpeting that was used for admin.

"Another one?" Chris says, hugging another kid around Meatballs age.

"Yeah her names Libby, what about him?" he asks, looking at the DArk green kid.

"Devin I think" Chris says, shifting the kid off and laying him down.

"All the others are dead..." he says, looking around at the new additions to their gang.

"Have you seen Bean?" Chris asks, straightening his halo.

"No she hasn't come back yet." MEatball says, grabbing a drink from the leaking cooler.

He sits on the floor and and leans his head against the wall.

Chris took that as he was done talking for now.

Meatball woke up to some screaming and crying. She shot up and saw Libby backing away from Mom.
