"Here Mr Schooling, we have your programmed daughter , Cashmere Leslie Schooling . You may choose to call her by her default pet name Cassy or..."

"Oh, and congratulations Mr Schooling. Your daughter has been programmed as the 1310 th billion human. Congratulations and i look forward to her political career. " Francis, the robot programmer, gynaecologist and a super-computer, finally stopped talking.

But the news hit the Schoolings hard.

The tenth billion human. Their first and only daughter, to be the leader and ruler of B.O.T? They never expected such news.

Low profile inventors that have significantly made a difference in people's lives, they never wanted such fame, or in a sense , stress. Cashmere Leslie Schooling, 131st ruler of B.O.T. Glendon and Shareen Schooling had only limited time to groom their daughter to become a ruler.

Three days after Cashmere was brought home, their house being three storeys high and as wide as a quarter of a football field, news was made by their current ruler that there would be a few changes in the current law.

1. The more impact an inventor's invention has been on humans and their lifestyles, the longer the inventor and his or her family.is allowed to live.

2. Humans can earn more Grands by designing , aside from just plain inventing.

Glendon Winston Schooling swallowed hard at the last piece of news President Quesidian had to say.

"The next ruler , Cashmere Leslie Schooling, will commence her duty as leader of B.O.T at the next tenth billionth human.

She will continue ruling until the next hundred billionth human is born, and so would the next leader and so on. In short, a ruler is born every hundred billionth human, and not every ten billionth from now on. Cashmere Leslie Schooling, we shall look forward to your political career."

With that, the screen blacked out.

And so did Shareen.

Glendon caught Shareen just in time before she could crash into the ground, with the baby who was still

sleeping soundly in her arms.

"Glendon, a hundred billion more humans. Why must we be so ... so ..." Pain , was what she was feeling right now. Their daughter having to fight the cruel world outside. Alone. As a ruler.

Glendon tightened his arms against the two girls he loved the most. " We'll be fine. We'll be just fine..." He cooed as tears streamed out of his blue eyes.

The Schoolings were different from the humans outside. They had a secret passed down from generation to generation.

They existed before B.O.T was even born. Before technology. About three billion years ago, in the year 2012. Then was the era when everyone carried iPhones and Blackberries, calling them the "in" or "hipster" must-have. It would be priceless antique now if one found an iPhone.

Anyway, the Schoolings were pure humans in the era before B.O.T . When B.O.T first existed, a decision was made by the Chief committee that one line of the human species should remain, well ,human. To preserve the history and lives of the only living pure humans then. The pure human blood running through their bodies was priceless then, and so the decision had to be made a secret.

Only the Schoolings have feelings. They still had to be programmed to become part of B.O.T but everything about them was pure human. And nothing else.

This secret has never been leaked out before. And Cashmere could be in risk of assassination for being mistaken a

traitor, or even worse , a species from another planet.

Cashmere opened her eyes and looked inquisitively at her parents, feeling the warmth. She smiled, feeling the love from her parents. She'd never know what was in for her next.

Cashmere Leslie Schooling was in danger the moment she was born.
