"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Allie, happy birthday to you."

Why? Why did I have to wake up to my brothers belting happy birthday at the top of their lungs!

"Guy's, can you not let a girl sleep on her birthday?" I still have an hour's worth of shut-eye left...

"No can do sis. You're eighteen today, so you're getting up and I'll be helping you get ready." I hadn't realized my older sister was here! The boys hid her well. I wonder if Luke was here with her. Luke's her mate and Beta of the Moonlight pack, the next pack over.

I jump out of bed, shove past the boys and give her a massive bear hug. Or I guess you could say 'wolf' hug.

"Oh my gosh, Ellie, I can't believe you're here! Does that mean you get to stay for my birthday bash? Is Luke here? When did you arrive?" I have so many questions that Dylan and Shaun have to clamp their hands over my mouth.

"Yes and yes. He's talking to dad about Saturday. So go get in the shower and I'll pick out your outfit, then do your makeup for school. Chop chop; and boys, get outta here unless you wanna see your sister strip!"

"Nope! We're leaving!" They ran out the room as though Satan was chasing them himself! And they call themselves werewolves. Hah! Ah well, better get into the shower before Ellie uses my wolf's fur as a rug.

After a quick shower, I walked out to find that Stacey had put my clothes out onto my bed. There's a floral blouse that's flowy but cinches at the waist. There is also a pair of black skinny jeans and some dark blue converses. I don a black leather jacket, and then put my statement bracelet and ring on.

I walk over to my floor length mirror and stare long and hard. As nice as this outfit looks on me, I'm not sure. My hair hangs limply in dull brown waves, I don't know how Stacey plans to fix that. The outfit compliments my figure well though; makes me seem taller than I actually am.

"You done in there, Al?" Elle's starting to get impatient.

"Yeah, Ellie, I'm done. You can come in now." She walked in holding a make-up bag and curler.

"So what I was thinking is that we do a 'not so messy' messy bun. We'll leave a few strands out and curl them. What do you think?"

"I don't know, Ellie. I mean, I've only ever had my hair in a ponytail for school, never anything elaborate. What if people stare? I don't want that much attention."

"Doll, everyone's always gonna stare. You're the Beta's daughter. Anyway, why shouldn't they stare? It's your birthday. You should enjoy it."

"What about Cassandra, Maddie, and Taylor?"

"Those three hags; give them a run for their money is what I say. Don't let them get to you. You're way better."

"I guess...."

"Well sit down. I've got 20 minutes to fix you up."

"Nothing too bold." I don't want to look too out of place.

"No promises."

"Wow, Ellie." I almost couldn't recognize myself when I was finally allowed to look in the mirror. Soft curls tickle the nape of my neck while an artistic bun sits atop my head in a stylish way. My make-up done so subtly that you almost can't tell I'm wearing any, but enough that my brown eyes pop and my eyes have wings and lashes are long and curled.

"Stace, I can't thank you enough." She's done an amazing job.

"You don't have to thank me. It's what I'm here for. Now you gotta go down to the living room, everyone's waiting for you."
