A Vampire's Touch

Chapter 26 ~•They Call Him Ash•~

As a vampire I thought all you had was blood. But Ethan told me that vampires can eat anything, but we prefer blood.

I glance at myself in the mirror one last time before leaving the room.

"You ready?" Ethan asks when I get to the corridor.

"Yep! Let's go."

We walk down the hall and out the front door.

"Drew said that the ice cream place is somewhere down there," Ethan says pointing to his right.

"You better not get us lost," I say.

"Don't worry! I got this!" Ethan replies and winks at me.

I roll my eyes, and I feel my stomach flutter.

We walk hand in hand down the path which leads into a forest. There are trees towering all over us. I look up and I see the sun peeking through the bushy trees. I breath in the nice, sweet air and sigh. I forgot what it was like to finally relax.

"Mmmmhmmm......mmmm," mumbles Ethan. I look side ways at him, confusion plain on my face.

"Yep we are lost!" He states.

I sigh. "No shit Sherlock!"

"Hey! I tried okay?"

"Whatever you say," I mumble.

I walk ahead of Ethan to lead the way. "I think we go that way."

"No I think that way," Ethan points the other direction as I pointed to.

"You already got us lost, so now I chose."

"Fine!"

I start to walk the direction I said, and I hear Ethan mumble. "Women, why are they so difficult?"

I turn around and punch him with my super strength. Since I'm stronger, he winces.

"Owww!" Ethan yelps.

"That's what you get for saying that."

"Mmgmhhhm," Ethan mumbles as he rubs the spot I punched him on.

We start to walk again, and I feel the hairs on my back rise. I turn around and see Ethan kicking rocks while walking, and humming a song in a soft but nice tune. But that's not what was bothering me.

I keep walking, grabbing hold of Ethan's hand and starting to walk faster. Ethan stops humming, noticing my urgency.

"What's wrong?" Ethan asks alarmed.

"I think someone's following us," I whisper.

Ethan automatically turns his head around, to look behind us. "No ones there, except for maybe slender man."

I glare at Ethan. "I'm not kidding, I seriously think someone is following us."

"Okay okay, I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I can give you a piggyback ride."

I stare at Ethan like he's an alien.

"I'm serious, come on," Ethan points at his back. I stop walking and jump on top of Ethan's back.

"Hold on tight!" Ethan says.

I tighten my grip around Ethan's neck, and I cross my feet over each other which are around Ethan's torso. I can feel his lean and muscular body, as he wraps his arms around my legs.

"Ready?" Ethan asks.

"Sure..." Right when I say that, I feel Ethan's back muscles move as he steps one foot back, and lurches forward. I tuck my head down while Ethan runs really fast. I can see the floor moving underneath, but it's just a blur.
