Dave woke up, he was confused for a second as to why he was in a cave but then he remembered what happenedu last night. He felt something on his shoulder so he turned around, and to his surprise the vampire from yesterday was still here. So it wasn't a nightmare then Dave thought as he sighed. The brunette looked peaceful, completly not afraid of the vampire hunter's presence. Dave could easily grab his dagger he always had with him and stab the vampire, but something was stopping him. He rememberd those pure emerald eyes from yesterday, the soft and calming voice. There was something about him that stopped Dave from hurting him. A feeling that was stopping him.

He shrugged it off and decided to stand up, careful to not wake Darryl up, but that didn't go as planned. The vampire groaned and opened his eyes, he seemed to not notice what was going on yet, and when Darryl realized what was happening he quickly sat straight up
-I-I'm sorry, you can get up now...- he quickly said turning his head away to not look at Dave.

-it's fine- Dave said as he scratched the back of his head. He turned to look at the brunette to see him storing right at him, like a hungry beast, his mouth was half open, revealing those sharp fangs he despised so much.
-you feeling okay?- Dave asked, but before he could react he found himself being pinned to the ground by the vampire, he should have known, all vampires all dirty blood suckers after all.

Then Darryl's expression changed to that of a dog that was guilty of what he had done, he quickly got off of Dave and backed away until his back reached the wall.
-I-I didn't m-mean to...- the brunette managed to say as tears streamed down his face -p-please... d-don't kill me- he said and repeated those words over and over. Dave got up and walked to the vampire, Darryl seemed to be getting more and more scared the closer he was. Then he knelt down next to him
-could you explain what just happened?- Dave asked in a soft tone.

Darryl seemed to calm down a little, but was still sobbing, unable to speak. Dave sighed and did something enither of them were expecting, he hugged the brunette. The vampire hugged back after some time and continued crying, while Dave was trying to calm him down by humming a song.

After a while Darryl completely calmed down, and wiped the rest of his tears as he pulled away from the comfy embrace of the other.
-so... will you explain what happened now?- Dave softly asked and the vampure nodded
-but... let me ask you something first... what do you think of vampires? Please.... answer it truthfully...-Darryl said. Dave thought about that unusual queation but decided to answer it
-Ruthless blood suckers...- he answered, the other seemed to flinch at the reply, but sighed and continued
-if we were given the choice we wouldn't drink blood...- Darryl replied, Dave seemed to be shocked by this sentence
-what do you mean?- he asked

-what I mean is this is like a disease... or... a curse... I don't really know... but... we can't survive eating or drinking anything else than blood... but, we rarely drink human blood... we just stick to drinking animal blood... even if it' really dangerous... you never know what diseases the animal may have...- Darryl said. Dave was now questioning everything he knew, everything he believed in.

-and... I-I'm... hungry... I-I'm sorry... but I c-can't control myself... no vampire can...-Darryl said with clear guilt in his voice.
-it's fine, if it's something you can't control then drink my blood- Dave said, the brunette seemed to be shocked by this statement.
-n-no you don't h-have to...- Darryl said, but Dave already pulled his sleeve up and put his exposed arm in front of the vampire
-bite me- He said with his normal, monotone voice.

Darryl seemed to hesistate for a while, but then he sunk his fangs into Dave's arm, he seemed to be trying to be as gentle as he could. Dave could feel his energy drainging as the brunette started drinking his blood. Darryl stopped when he felt his hunger compeletly fade away, he pulled away and looked at the wound he left on the other's arm
-I'll bandage it for you... it's the least i can do...- Darryl said. Dave just nodded, light-headed from the sudden blood loss. The vampire grabbed the leftover bandages and began bandaging Dave's arm, after he was finished he sighed and stood up, Dave did the same.

-I should probably go now...-Darryl said as he began walking to the entrance of the cave but stopped right before he left
-is something wrong?-Dave asked
-the sun's out... I can't leave for now...- he said, hint of fear in his voice
-I'll keep the patrol out of this region, don't worry- Dave said as he began walking out
-should we meet again?- he asked, stopping in his tracks, turning to face the vampire. Darryl looked at him and smiled
-sure!- he said happily. Dave continued walking, his mind still occupied with the vampire, his beautiful eyes, his smile. Dave smiled to himself as he continued walking out of the forest.
