It only takes one bite, it could only take a few seconds to kill a human. I like to drag it out, make the pain excruciating and make it seem like it's going on for hours, for the humans at least. This way you can taste the fear, taste the adrenaline pumping through their bodies, through their blood. I love the way their bodies go limp after I swallow the red liquid which they need to survive, which I need to survive.
After I drank from my victims, I placed my cut wrist over their bite mark so the blood would drop down onto it and heal it before the police came. It was easy to cover my tracks, the only downside to this was that the humans were drained of blood and their was no stab marks, no blood dripping out of them. It confused the police officers, I find it quite amusing sometimes.
I'm a vampire, I'm a monster and I love it. You hear about these fiction stories where vampires are all lonely and depressed, hating what they are. Well, I love every single bit of it. Eternal life, the taste of blood, catching the prey. My emotions were enhanced as soon as I become what I was, it was a good thing yet could be a bad at some points.
I was sitting in a tree, hiding in the shadows as sirens flashed to my right. I would always hunt at night, the fear was stronger in the humans then. I would use the darkness to my advantage, hide in the shadows and create a eerie atmosphere to frighten the humans.
The body of a young girl, roughly around the age of twenty lay on the wet gravel. her lips, her skin was so pale and her eyes were a deep shade of blue. Her hair was a dirty blonde, most probably because of the dirt from the ground. She begged me to leave her, she begged me to stop but I sunk my teeth through her neck hitting an artery. You can never give in, never give a human what it wants.
“There are no marks on her, no possible sign of her being strangled, no stab or bullet wounds. We need to get her checked out, check to see how much blood she has in her, there's a lot of people dying and the only way they died was because of blood loss...Yet they had no marks or wounds” I heard one detective say to another and I smiled.
“Maybe there's virus going around?” The detective whispered examining the girls lifeless body. “Eating people from the inside” He glared at the other detective who was trying to figure this all out in his head.
“Well, every body like this has been checked, they was all healthy...Apart from the fact they was drained of blood” He sighed, “It's like there's a vampire inside them”
“Enough with your silly stories, this is a serious case” He stood up straight and stalked towards the police car, “We need to solve this mystery and soon, people are going to see the pattern and worry” He opened the door and got inside as I crept over a branch to get closer. “I'm going back to the station, see what I can find out about the previous cases” The detective who was standing outside nodded and looked around as the car drove off.
In a weird way they was right, their was a vampire inside of all of them..It was me. I decided when to attack, I decided when to be shown. Ever since I've arrived here there's been nothing but mentions of the killings on the news. I felt famous, I did all those killings and I was noticed. I wouldn't reveal my existence, I'd be killed for it and it wouldn't be a quick death either.
I was alone, I was the only vampire that I knew of but I knew their was others all around the earth. If we told anyone of our existence we wouldn't be hunted down by the other vampires, the humans would kill us. The other vampires don't care because they aren't here. There are some vampires who find love, turn the person into what they are just to live together for eternity. I wasn't that kind of guy. I'm more of a killing type, I've always been an angry kid. I blame my parents entirely for that. I'm not an old vampire, just over thirty years old and stuck at the age of a teenager.
