So ofc, even thought they don't look the part, these two are older now. They hookup in their second to last year of highschool, senior year is when Joshua moves to England land for a good while, they stay long distance for two more years and stay together when Joshua returns for one more
Then they break up for like a good 5 years and some time after reuniting they begin dating again! Jfc, it's a real DJ and Steve situation (if any of y'all have watched Full House/Fuller House) but now they're engaged and I'd like to imagine this is sort of a beach pic they take after the proposal where Mason posts it online somewhere like the rich man he is and captions it something like "Marrying my ex!" and literally no-one who knows them is surprised because of course Joshua would be cheesy and romantic enough to propose during a beach picnic, and of course Mason would make the whole world feel single by posting about it right after
