Chapter 1: My enrollment

It was an Autumn evening, I was having a slice of bread from the pantry while I was watching the television. As I was on the couch, flipping through the tv channels like there was no tomorrow something caught me eye, it was a news report on some sort of science lab they went by the name of The Smilers, hmm I thought. Something at least interesting to catch my eye. Geez I thought how long have I been flipping through these channels now? The lady talking about the place on the news cast seemed excited about the group, The Smilers said that they were working towards something big, like changing human society or something. I kinda zoomed out after that and feel asleep.. Later the same day I saw an ad on the tv asking for people to join the so called, The Smilers I didn't have a job so I took the application and sighed it. I'm not even sure what they even do.. maybe they just do random science stuff I thought. Yeah. I called my friend Lucy before I signed it about all this and she said to go for it. Now I can finally have a job Now I said to Lucy on the phone, Yeah I'm sure you will do great!! Thanks I said. You got it gurl! Talk to you tomorrow Lucy alright? Alright! I turned off my phone and fell straight into my bed since it was nighttime now. before I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep I thought of my friend Lucy and how she was always so happy getting me through any struggles I faced. Then I thought of what would probably be my new job once I passed the interview, Too be quite frank I'm not even sure what they do guess I will have to find out myself. My eyes felt heavy and I went to the light heaven of dream land. I woke up at around 8:00 am and checked my emails to see if they accepted my application to be part of The Smilers then I saw it, They accepted! They said I could do the interview next week which was on Wednesday. A week had passed with Me being busy between my friend Lucy or just living. The day had come for the interview! I drove towards The Smilers for the interview, I can't wait to see what they actually do there. I mean if it's not weird. I could tell my heart pound as I raced towards to big sign that read "welcome to The Smilers INC. where we bring fantasies to life!" Guess that sums it up. There was a huge building with the sign by the building where you enter but on the building before you enter it it says "The Smilers INC." I entered the large building and saw a man greeting me at the entrance. Hey there you must be here for the interview! Yep! I said excited. Fallow me this way. As I fallowed him I could see tons of rooms and lab areas full of thing probably after a while of walking through the building we stopped by a room that read "Interviewing station" When you walk in the room there was a simple desk with a chair with another chair. I saw down on one of the chairs as the man sat in the other. Now then let's start on your interview, he said. He looked at the papers and looked back at me. Looks like you will become a pro in no time I'm sure. I nodded in agreement. So, how good are you at performing procedures? I'm pretty good I used to work at a hospital back in California I said, Sounds good. Had any incidents with anything related to this? No, I said. *time skip an hour* well that was everything I needed. And I just wanna say something. Well, what is it? I asked. You passed! Congrats! I will be seeing you tomorrow I assume for your first day at the job alright? Sounds great I said. I walked past all the doors and labs and got out of the building. Phew that interview sure took a while. I gotta head back home on my car now. I walked to my car and got the keys and drove home. By the time I got home it was 12:00 pm so I ate lunch and talked to Lucy on the phone. Hey Lucy, I said how's life been going for you? Pretty good actually, I got to go down by the lake around here and feed some ducks! Wow, sounds awesome! You should come over sometime so we could hangout together! Sounds like a plan! Lucy said. Me and Lucy talked for a 4 hours non stop. I gotta go Elizabeth my I promised my dad I would go fishing with him today, Hope you have a great day! Bye Lucy I said. The phone call ended. I just watched TV the rest of the day and got stuff ready for tomorrow. It was 8:00 PM I went to sleep to wake up for my first day on the job at The Smilers INC.
