it was gorgeous, the light shades of purple, blue and pink mixing together made it look like an actual art piece
"it was worth it, huh?" he looked at me
"definitely" i looked back at him
mike's pov:
the sky was pretty and all but nothing could compare to her
the way she was staring at the sky made her look even more perfect
god
she makes me feel some type of way, i don't wanna catch feelings this fast though because last time i did, shit didn't go as planned
"have you ever been in love?" she asked
it's like she literally read my mind
"well..yeah, i guess you could call it love" i said
"what happened?" she asked
"we just decided to go our separate ways, i wasn't happy and i didn't wanna lead her on and hurt her in the future" i looked down
"maybe it was for the best" she smiled
"what about you?" i asked
"yeah, been there, done that" she said slightly forcing a smile
"why'd it end?" i looked at her
"i mean what we had could've been special, you know? but he only came around when he wanted something sexual, it's sad" she looked upset
"everything happens for a reason, it's all god's plan" i said trying to comfort her
"you're right" she said
i hugged her, i could tell she wasn't over him yet
we pulled apart and she looked up at me
we looked at each other, we were slowly leaning in, our lips about to touch
but then..her phone rang
it was mar
way to ruin the moment..
"okay i'll be there in a few" is what she said before she hung up
"hey what happened?" i asked
"dez got into a car accident" she said looking overwhelmed
"oh my god, let's go then" i said getting up and going to my car
i did feel bad for nai because dez and her are the closest friends
and dez is such a pure soul like i've been friends with her since seventh grade, we did kinda fall off but she was always there for me when i needed someone
after speeding to the hospital we finally arrived, the nurse lead us to dez's room, everyone was already in there and her mom + step dad
her mom was crying a lot and her step dad was trying to comfort her
i saw chris crying as well, he looked hopeless like he wanted to give up, derek was telling him it was gonna be okay
i turned to my side and nai was hugging mar while crying, i could tell he was trying to hold back some tears
i told nai i was gonna leave
it didn't feel right for me to be there, they needed their moment and i wasn't part of their "group" so i just left
