Writing, writing, writing. Ashlynne was thinking of frogs. Her mind was never still and extremely chaotic. She doubted anyone would be able to decipher anything under the layers and layers of overlapping songs and thoughts that were mashed together. Not that they would want to see what she thought either. It was hard for Ashlynne to keep from thinking all of her thoughts at once. One time she had spent the entire time she was supposed to be concentrating on something important chanting frog in her head over and over. It was becoming a little bit of a problem. Right now she was trying to write an essay for her end of year test but all that was coming to her mind was vines from 2016. The prompt was telling her to choose an important character and relate their struggles to everyday life. She guessed that she could probably relate Hamlet to a vine, but she didn't think that the teacher would appreciate that. Although she could imagine Hamlet saying "STAWP, I coulda dropped ma cwassoint". She laughed. A dozen eyes drifted over to her. She glared back at them. She went back to writing. So far she had one sentence. The minimum was one page. Ashlynne's pen started to drift off the paper and onto the desk. It left a big inky line in bright blue ink. Ashlynne didn't notice what she had done to the now dirty wooden desk. Her mind wasn't obeying her in the time she needed it and that was all that she could focus on. The teacher was starting to move around the desks to inspect their work. Ashlynne furiously started writing what she thought could pass as a thoughtful essay without too much close inspection. The teacher was inching closer and closer to her desk. At the last second, she turned and went to someone else. Ashlynne sighed in relief. Then she noticed the massive blue line snaking over her desk. She started to scrub but soon realised that it wasn't going to work. Eyes were turning in her direction again so she stared them down until they turned back around. This method wasn't working, so she decided to just cover it with her spare paper and deal with it after the test. Ashlynne went back to writing, but she still didn't have any ideas. Why didn't her brain work? She was seriously doubting that she would get anything but this measly sentence on her paper. Ashlynne started to panic but tried to calm herself down by looking at how much time she had left. Whew,45 minutes left.
