*flashback*

september 19, 2001

It was the 19th day of kindergarten and Bethany was doing pretty well she had a solid group of friends but she usually just sits in the shade and reads some books. When play time was over and it was time to go in she saw a new boy sitting at her table with honey brown curls and a giggle that could light up the whole room.

"Bethany, sweetie this is Ashton. Since he is new to this school I want you to show him around, okay sweetie?" Ms.Roh (a/n cause one of my teacher's name is Ms.Roh and she is really nice) said.

Bethany just shrugged, she didn't think that this was much of a big deal.

"Hey, I like your sweater!" Ashton exclaimed.

Bethany didn't say anything. She didn't really like interacting with new people. It took her 10 days to say something in her kindergarten class. When she didn't say anything Ashton just seemed to give up quickly and tried to talk to her arch nemesis Andrew.

"NO! Don't talk to him." Bethany exclaimed quietly, so only Ashton could hear her.

"Oh, so you do talk! But I want to make new friends also, Bethany." He said.

"How do you know my name you pedophi- well you're to young for that YOU STALKER!" Bethany said.

"First of all, I'm not a stalker and second of all your name is on your name tag" Ashton said while pointing at Bethany's green name tag.

"Do you want to be friends?" Bethany asked.

"Best friends sounds better." Ashton said.

"But then isn't that when you-" Bethany tried to question.

"Nah, we can be best friends!" Ashton exclaimed.

"Let's make our goal together........, HOW ABOUT BE COOL KIDS AT EVERY SCHOOL WE GO TO!!!" Ashton said.

"But how do you know that we are going to the same schools every year?" Bethany questioned.

"Let's just assume that." Ashton said quietly because it was clean up time and they weren't supposed to talk at clean up time.

"What does assume mean?" Bethany asked.

"Let's just pretend okay?" Ashton answered.

"Okay sure." Bethany said.

And that was how they started to be the coolest kids in their grades because they would always to outrageous things at play time.
