Adults are extremely opinionated. They either have a phone with social media on so they can sit and complain about the slightest of incidences or they have a phone to contact family. This is much different from how the youth would use their phones.

Adults, who are interested in social media, would have apps such as; Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Now yes, these can be used by children but the way adults and children put things up isn't the same. Let's say an adult is using Facebook for example. They would put a post up either saying what they are doing with a photo or complaining about what happened during the day. But if someone from a younger generation used the application, they'd either share something or just go like some posts. Yes, adults can do the same thing but they also post quite a lot about their day to day lives and to be frank, it gets quite annoying.

Now, if an adult was on an app like TikTok, they would either be joining in by doing the "tiktok dances" or atleast attempting which could go horribly wrong or horribly wrong, or they would get that 20 minutes of fame they had always wished for.

Now, if an adult had a phone just so they can contact friends and family, some of their applications would be; WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger (which you would need a Facebook account for), and the normal messages app. They would use those to contact friends and family. Now there's a difference in a way an adult would message someone and a way a child would. An adult might speak in slang to make themselves seem cooler ("we r going to that restaurant 2 night. Get ready x") or they  would speak more formal ("We are going to that restaurant tonight, could you get ready please x"). The only thing that either of them would have in common is the fact that they'd put a kiss on the end of it. Then again, they might not do it all the time but it is a pretty common thing that quite a few people have seen them do. However, not a lot of teenagers/children text people like that but still some do.

In summary, adults are completely different from younger generations when they on technology.
