"Wow," I muttered "that's a lot of stuff, now I know why Dumbledore gave me 2 hours. Might as well get my clothing first."

I walked toward Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions (It seemed like a better place than Twilfitt and Tatting's) and opened the door. "Hello?" I called. It seemed empty until an old woman appeared.

"Hello my dear, what are you getting today?" said the woman.

"Um, I need three sets of black plain work robes, one plain black pointed hat for day wear, one pair of protective gloves that are made of dragon hide or similar, and one black with silver fastenings winter cloak,"

"Ah, Hogwarts? You came very late, tomorrow is the start of the term." scolded the woman.

"Professor Dumbledore said the owl got lost," I said looking at my feet.

The woman snorted "What a lousy lie! Owls never get lost! Anyway, let's get your clothing,"

Twenty-three minutes later, I had my clothing all in a bag. "Thank you!" I said as I started toward Flourish and Blotts (I had a hunch I would find all of my books there, there were books in the windows). I opened the door to Flourish and Blotts and a man came rushing over.

"Hello! My name's Dan, what are you lookin for today?" asked Dan.

"Er, I have a rather long list," I stammered.
