Mike x Reader Part.2 (fluff)

Start from the beginning

"I-It can't be. Why do you think that?"

"He only has eyes for you. He only talks about you. He gets moody when you don't pay attention to him. He always has his hand on you. He is just so happy around you."

"B-But." It hit differently when his mother said that. It was his mother, she knew him ever since his birth, she was the one who gave birth to him.

"And... I think you may like him too. Just please don't break his heart."

And with that, they went back home. Nice.
You thought about that all week. It was like you realized something inside you. Maybe you liked him and the doubt was killing you until you decided to finally talk to him about that to avoid the awkward environment you created. It was on a Friday dinner. He was cooking and you sat on the counter, casually talking with him.

"Hm... Mike." You brought his attention to you. "I have to talk to you about something."

"What is that?"

"When our parents came, your mother said things to me and I wanted to ask you about it."

"Did she offend you?" He looked at you, worried.

"No, she is too sweet for that. She told me a story about you liking me in third grade. It was cute, actually."

"Oh, she didn't."

"She did and I loved it. Are you wanting to marry me with eight years? I bet it was adorable."

"It wasn't, okay? I suffered."

"Why would you suffer from love at age 8?"

"Because while I wanted to marry you, you wanted nothing with me. You only wanted to play with toys like come on, woman!" He joked.

"I was so immature back then." You laughed.

You got lost on the jokes and forgot the main point of the conversation. At some point, Mike managed to get the food on fire, get a cloth on fire, and you burned your hand trying to help him.

"What do we do?" He was panicking.

You put your hand under running water, trying to get some relief.

"I will get the bandage."

When he came back, Mike covered the burn with the bandage and gave you medicine to relieve the pain.

"Do you want to go to the hospital?"

"No, it's okay." You sat on the couch. "Thank you."

"I think we should see a doctor."

"I'm going to be okay, Mike. Why are you crying?"

"You burned your hand and it was my fault."

"It wasn't your fault. That things happen. The best you can do is stop crying because you are worrying me."

"Alright." He hugged you.

"You are clingy today." You laughed. "Did something happen?"

"I'm in love with you." He looked up at you with a straight face and confessed.

"Are you kidding me?" His expression made it hard to believe.

"Yes, I love you."

"I think that's a... strong word. Are you drunk?"

"I'm serious!"

"O-Okay."

"That's it? I confess and you say 'okay'? That one hurt."

"Sorry. It was about that that I wanted to talk. Your mother said that you liked me, but I wanted to be sure."

"I don't like you. I love you." The more he said that the faster your heart pounded. "And it's okay if you don't like me back. You have William, and so many other guys who want you and I'm nothing compared to them."

"What are you saying? Where is your confidence, Mike."

"You know that I'm just a childish, small, annoying guy that-"

"Don't dare to say that. You are amazing, handsome, smart. You are everything I could ask for. I love you too, Mike Morton."

"Really?"

"Yes!" He jumped on you, making you lay down on the couch.

"Can I..." He looked at your eyes and lips. "Can I kiss you?" You responded with your lips on his.

"I think we should tell our parents, right?"

You two got your respective cellphones and called your parents.

"Hm... hi, mom!" You said as she picked up. "I have to tell you something. Promise not to freak out, okay?"

"Are you pregnant?"

"No, I'm not. But I'm dating."

"Mike?"

"Yeah."

"I knew that he wasn't gay!" You heard her saying to your father. After that, she made a speech on how they were happy for you. Your father talked to Mike too, and he looked frightened after the conversation.

"I told you he liked you!" His mother said to you.

"So... what are we going to do now?"

"I want more kisses."

"I do too, but I'm too hungry right now."

"I promise I won't burn the food this time."
