"Hey, (Y/N). Hey, Patricia." You heard Mike's voice coming from behind.

"Oh, hey!" You were panicking inside. You stared at him in silence, thinking about what Patricia said. Would Mike really be your soulmate? You didn't remember thinking of him as nothing more than a friend, but maybe you could. You already knew he was a good catch, after all.

Patricia, on the other hand, just went away. She dripped the bomb and got out.

"Are you okay?" He asked you, worried about your paralyzed form.

"Mhm. I think I should go." You tried to escape from the situation as soon as possible, but Mike interrupted you.

"Do you want to..."

"(Y/N)!" William Ellis' strong voice made you jump.

"Will!" You hugged him and he got you off of the ground. He was taller than you, so it wasn't difficult for him to do that. He was strong too, so you wouldn't be surprised if he picked you up with just one hand.

"You are looking lovely today." He smirked, freeing you from his strong arms.

"Oh, thanks! You are looking good too." You giggled.

"Oh, hey Mike!" He waved at the smaller boy.

"Hey." He greeted him.

"So... I have a match next week and was thinking if you would like to watch it." He suggested.

"I would love to go there!"

"I will text you all the information after lunch, okay?"

"Okay!"

"Alright, I have to go now." He said goodbye and went back to class.

"What were you saying?" You turned to Mike again.

"Are you hungry?"

You and Morton went to the cafe to eat something. While you were there, you couldn't help observing every reaction Mike gave the waitress. You thought Patricia was wrong, the one was the waitress.

"Why don't you invite her on a date? I can do it for you if you want."

"Why are you trying to get me a date so desperately?"

"You made all the speech yesterday, so I thought..."

"I was just sleepy and emotional, doesn't mean that I want to go on a date with every single girl you think is into me." He sounded aggressive.

"Sorry, I was trying to help."

The next days were... weird. Actually, you couldn't tell if the awkwardness was because of what Patricia said and only you were feeling it. Maybe it was because Mike seemed totally normal.
The day of William's match came and you took most of your time to convince Mike to go with you.

"It will be fun, Mike..."

"But this is like... a date, isn't it?"

"No. You and I will go there and cheer for him, just be there for him. It's important."

"But did he said that it was okay for me to go?"

"He was the one who told me to invite you. Now that you don't have any excuses, go get dressed." You demanded.

You two went to the match and cheered for William. None of you were really into sports, you didn't even know how rugby worked, but you would just follow the crowd. At least, at the end of the game, you understood that William won, so it was definitely a reason to celebrate. You decided to go to a bar with Mike, William and some of William's friends.
Time passed and Mike looked bored. He said to you that he only was there to prevent you from drinking too much. One of the guys would always annoy your friend because of that, but he only ignored it.

"Oh no." You looked at your phone in disbelief.

"What happened?" Mike asked.

"My parents. My parents and your parents are in the apartment. We have to go back."

"Why did they come all the way here?"

"Just to check on us, I guess. Make sure that we are not doing drugs and that I am not pregnant. I think those are their top priorities."

You said goodbye to everyone and went back home as soon as you could. When you got to the front door, you felt nervous. You hadn't drunk a lot, but your parents could get mad at you for that (even though you were over 18). Besides that, you knew that the apartment was clean and organized and that you weren't pregnant nor doing drugs. You just hadn't seen them in months because of college, so it was a nerve-wracking situation.

"It's going to be okay. It's just our parents." Mike reassured you. You felt calmer, but what to expect from your parents?
