Chapter 1

I'm a young woman who lives with her aunt. I have hoped to find love for a very long time even with my not so appealing appearance, I was born with a disfigured face ,as a child I grew up around people who wouldn't stop teasing me and they described me as ugly and made fun of me. My name is Nimfa Del Prado.
Things however changed when I caught the eyes of  Erik, a handsome young man who seems to have taken interest in me. Erik told me that he doesn't care about my appearance and is moved by the kind of person that I am and  for the first time for so many years I finally felt like I meant something to a guy.
The people around me often take advantage of my kind nature and always ask for money from me.
Although, I'm saving up to get my aunt treated, I give in and lend my money to whoever is in need.
Erik asks to take me out on a date and I was elated to find out that he is interested in me.
I got dressed that day and was happy to go out with a guy for the first time in many years.

As I waited for Erika to arrive, some men try to harass me and I was so scared .

"Hey let me go ,take your hands off me, help, somebody help"

I screamed loudly and Erik arrives just in time to rescue me. He beat up the goons and apologized for making me go through such thing while I was waiting for him. I thanked him instead and we walked down to a food canteen , we sat down to eat and Erik told me about all the trouble he is having because he is unemployed.
I therefore offered to pay for the food because I don't want him to spend money on me when he's having finance problems.
Erika continues to take advantage of me by asking for money for his family. Being the giving kind of girl that I was I gave him the money that he needed.

Erik asked me to be his girlfriend and I was so happy so I agreed.  My aunt however is skeptical about about the relationship so she warned me about him but I took this to mean that I was too ugly for someone to love me so my aunt let me be when I wouldn't listen to her.

One faithful day I was going to the market to meet my friends Deedee and Maxi at her barbecue store. They have been my childhood friend and have supported my aunt and I ever since we were little, however Maxi is know for his gay nature so he acts like a woman.
I was on my way to meet Deedee and Maxi when I saw Erik and Crisel, a girl from our neighborhood who always tease me for being ugly. I was so upset that Erik had been cheating on me with Crisel so I decided to confront the both of them.

"Hey Erik"

"Hey"

"What are you doing with Crisel?"

"What do you mean what am I doing with Crisel, I love her" he said without emotion.

"But you said you love me" I questioned.

"Look, Crisel said , he doesn't love you ok? He's only using you and there's no way he could date and ugly girl like you". She said sharply.

I couldn't utter a word ,and it was clear to me that he had been playing me all along just to extort money from me.
And he didn't even utter a word instead he agreed with Crisel, he humiliated me for believing that he liked me.
I cried my eyes out that day and all my aunt could do was comfort me because she has warned me about him.

I tried to move on with Erik's rejection and at that period I was convinced that no one will ever love me even with my kind heart.

I was at Deedee's barbecue store as usual when Crisel came there just to tease me, she would stop at nothing just to tease me and she continues provoke me and I can't take it anymore.
She teased me about my face as usual and I got angry, we got into a crazy cat fight and I ended up shoving her face on the grill mistakenly, it ended up giving her a burn on her face.
I didn't know what to do so I kept on apologizing, I shouldn't have done that to her but she got on my nerves and I just wanted a break. Crisel promised to sue me for burning her face so she ran home that day to tell her brother about it, her brother is a police officer and a day after that day, she came to her house and arrested me.

I didn't want to go to jail so I escaped from the police , I was running on the street when a car knocked me down.
By the time I woke up I found myself at the hospital.

"Where am I? Who are you?" I asked as I try to get up from the bed.

"I'm doctor Jeremy,how are you feeling now?"

"I'm feeling better thank you, but I have to go now"

I was getting up when the news about me was televised, the police were not able to find me but they were able to put me all over the news just to put me In jail. I was so desperate not to go to jail so I narrated the whole story to Jeremy who empathized
with me, so he does not report me to the police , Instead he offers me a solution to change the way my face looks and make me beautiful. I was so skeptical about it but I got a call from my aunt about how the police are looking for me so I decided to go with the doctor's plan.
Meanwhile one of the nurses at the hospital sees the news about me on TV and called the police to come arrest me so, Crisel and her brother arrived at the hospital to arrest me.
