chapter 1

You pull the binoculars out of your drawer. Sitting at the window, you stare out of the binoculars into your neighbors window. Kathii's window.

You've been in love with Kathii ever since she moved to your neighborhood two months ago, and your parents and her parents get together every Saturday for a hangout day. This gives you the perfect chance to talk to her... to smell her hair.... to watch her........

You duck down as you see her eyes look over towards you. After a moment you creeped back up to your window, and it turns out she didn't see you. Phew, that was close, you think.

You throw your binoculars onto your bed; that was enough excitement. You remember its a school day, so you get ready and run downstairs. Not wanting to miss the bus, or Kathii, you run out the door without getting breakfast. Seeing her will be enough of a snack for me. (Holy jesus i am so sorry for that line kathii, pls dont block me-)

You skip to the bus stop, seeing Kathii exiting her house. You wave aggressively, shouting "Hey Kathii!"

She smiles and waves back, then gets in her mom's car. Darn it, you think, I forgot she doesn't take the bus today. What will I do?!? I need be able to watch her before school!

With quick thinking, you run back inside and snatch your mom's keys, then run out to her car. Sure, you can't drive. Sure, you'll get grounded. Sure, you're only 13 and could also probably get arrested. But you needed to see Kathii. Or else you might just have a heart attack.

You quickly start the car and pull out just as Kathii's mom is driving out of the neighborhood. You press on the gas pedal and zoom after them, excitement coursing through you. When you come to the first stop light, you pull up next to Kathii. And watch her. You watch her talk to her mom and laugh, you watch her look through her backpack. You watch and remember every movement she does.... because you love her. Isn't that what all people in love do? Surely it is.

Kathii's car speeds off as the light turns green and you zoom after. Pulling into the school parking lot, you follow Kathii inside. You then follow her to her locker, which is luckily right across from yours. You follow her through the hall as she jokes with her friends. You keep following. Until first period, and then you follow her into Math class.

Thankfully, you adjusted your entire schedule to match hers so you could keep an eye on her all day. You watch her all math class, barely doing your work. Then the teacher announces a project and you realize you weren't listening.

"I'll be picking groups," Professor Splatie says.

After calling off a list of names, he says, "Kathii and y/n!" Kathii looks over at you and smiles. You die inside. Finally, you will be able to hang out with her more now that you have to get this project done! You are so happy.

The bell rings and you follow Kathii out of class.
