Yeah, something was deffenently up.

"Kami, anyone there?" Ashido knocked on the side of his head.

"Huh? Oh my bad, zoned out." Kaminari laughed sheepishly, cursing when his mint chocolate chip ice cream started to melt down his fingers.

"What were you thinking about? " Eijiro asked after finishing off his popsicle, chomping it up with his weirdly sharp teeth.

"Huh? I'm not sure, something just feels off today, like I'm forgetting something."

Mina and Kirishima both frowned, sharing a look. Was there something they knew that he didn't?

Eijiro discarded his popsicle stick in a nearby trash can, pondering over something for a few seconds. "Bro, do you know what day it is today?"

" Uhh, yeah dude, sunday. " Denki furrowed his brows at the odd question. Whatever he said must have confirmed the two's thoughts, because they shared another secret look.

Mina slipped out her phone, eyes gazing over a new notification before shoving it back into her leopard print skirt. "Ohhh! Look! You guys wanna snag a couple of things to buy from these stores? It's sunday, we don't have to go back just yet. "

Surprisingly, Mina didn't spend a dime on herself, instead insisting on pulling Kaminari store to store, selecting clothes and knick knacks for him. Kirishima, bless his heart, even got him a pair of crocs that matched his red ones.

Why were they being like this?

Although Kaminari wasn't complaining, if they wanted to spend their money on him then that was their choice. By the time they started their treck back to the dorms Kaminari was a pair of crocs and a set of earrings richer.

He didn't realize how much time they spent out until they reached the doorway of the dormitories, the sun setting behind them.

Which bought him to his current predicament.

This year shouldn't have been any diffrent.

Hell, he even forgot his own birthday.

Yet, party tools pulled from his very imagination were spread out in front of him.

Shiny balloons with memes printed out on them drifted aimlessly on the floor, party streamers hung, covering a good majority of the dormitories walls. His class stood amongst the vibrant mess, all decked out in pikachu headbands.

Even Bakugou stood there, not frowning for once, a headband squishing his spiky hair. Sero next to him with a proud smirk.

Then time resumed.

"Happy birthday!" They shouted, stampeding over to him like a herd.

A stray tear trailed down Denki's cheek as they embraced him. So this was what a birthday party with friends was like? The decorations? The gifts? The happy mood? The cake-

Wait-

The cake!?

Bakugo held up a three teir cake, rolling his eyes as Kirishima rushed over to help him with it. Then he faced Denki "Don't tell me I never did anything for you." He huffed.

And that was more than a happy birthday he ever got from his parents.

He sniffled, fiercely rubbing the fresh tears from his face. The class backed up, hints of worry in their eyes.

" I'm sorry Kaminari did we offend you? "

"I'm so sorry!"

" Why are you crying? "

"Guys!" Mina snapped, causing the questions subside. She turned back to him "are you okay? "

"Y-yeah" Denki flashed them a cheeky grin. "I'm just not used to..." His eyes scanned the room with childlike curiosity. "..All of this."

" Kaminari are you saying you've never had a birthday party before? " Uraraka asked, worry never leaving her gaze. Kaminari shook his head, too overwhelmed with words.

Sero was the first to speak "well guys..."

Bakugo grinned viciously " Then we'll have to make this the best fucking birthday party ever. "

And even with the cursing in that scentence, it was entirely factual.

Denki never thought he would actually get the birthday party of his childhood dillusions, but here he was with everything he could have ever wanted. Cheesy meme balloons and all.
