A long, long, time ago, in a fairy tale far away. There was a dragon. It was a big scary red dragon. It slept with it's hoard of gold everyday, and every blue moon it would go out to terrorize the village for more gold. One day the dragon was awoken by a strange noise. It went outside it's cave to see what made that noise. It came face to face with an even bigger scarier white dragon. The red dragon was scared and went back inside the cave to hide with it's treasures. The white dragon went inside the cave and decided it wanted the red dragon's treasure. The white dragon let out a scary rawr and the red dragon flew away in fear.

The red dragon had no home and no treasure, so it wandered around aimlessly. A nearby princess saw the saddened dragon and approached it. The dragon was wary of the princess and didn't want them to get close. The princess saw the dragon recoil from her. So the princess pulled out a steak from her pocket to temp the dragon. The dragon soon warmed up to the princess and they built a fire together to sleep through the night. The princess pitied the dragon and decided to let it stay at the castle. The dragon was happy to stay at the princesses castle and help protect her gold.

The servants didn't trust the princesses decision to let the dragon live at the castle, so they plotted against her. The servants enlisted a "hero" to save the princess from a big scary dragon. The prince from another kingdom heard the news and was glad to slay the beast. The prince made his way to the castle to rescue the princess. While he was traveling he passed by a cave. He went inside the cave and saw a big scary white dragon sitting on a pile of gold. The dragon saw him and decided to capture the human to eat later. The prince was helpless to the might of a dragon and was easily defeated.

The princess soon heard of the prince's capture and asked the red dragon to save him. The red dragon was scared of the white dragon who had stolen his home from him, but he was indebted to the princess whom had given her home to the dragon. The red dragon decided to go save the prince from the white dragon whom the red dragon was scared of. The red dragon flew back to the cave where the white dragon was waiting for them.

The red dragon tried asking the white dragon to let the prince go, but the white dragon wouldn't agree. So the red dragon asked if the white dragon would trade the prince for the princesses gold. The white dragon was more than happy to agree taking all the gold the red dragon brought. The red dragon brought the prince back to the castle where the princess was waiting for them.

The prince was confused for he thought of dragons as mere beasts incapable of love. Yet here this dragon had saved him, not to eat, but because the princess had asked them to. The prince, grateful for being saved, offered his hand in marriage to the princess. However the princess refused him, for she wanted to govern on her own and felt the red dragon did more to save the prince than she had. So the prince instead offered his services as a knight to the red dragon. The dragon accepted him. And so the fairy tale has ended with a happy dragon, a happy princess, and a happy knight.
