(A/N: this story is going to be primarily from Sals perspective. Enjoy~)

Larry skipped. And before lunch too. How predictable? That means I spend the period in the bathroom instead of sitting with Ash and Todd.

They're great friends, but they have a bond that I don't really have with either of them. It's nothing like hanging out with Larry, comfortable and super chill. I feel like I have to force conversation with Todd and Ash.

I throw open the door to the bathroom and toss my bag to the side. I check under each stall for anyone before I start to take off my prosthetic. It doesn't matter how used to wearing it I am, it always gets kind of gross by the middle of the day. So, to rid my face of the sweat and condensation from my breath, I splash a handful of cold water onto my scarred face, avoiding looking into the mirror. I pat my skin dry with an abrasive paper towel before clipping the mask back on.

I look up into my own eyes. 'God, what a freak' I think to myself, but give a little chuckle. When your life has been tragic, all you can do is laugh.

Suddenly, the stall behind me opens and slams against the others. Out steps a puffy eyed Travis. He looked confused but I think he was just as startled as I was to see someone else in the restroom.

He gave an awkward sniffle, before walking past me to the dingy sinks. I expected a snarky remark from him, or to be shoved out of his way. But no, he just walked by, eyes low. Something was bothering him.

He preened himself in the mirror making sure his hair was in place, then touching the bruise under his eyes. He looked at me through the mirror.
"What are you looking at?" He said, sounding drained of all energy. What, no 'fag' today?
"Travis, where you crying?" I asked, ignoring his question.
"Why do you care?" He retaliated, sounding a little more like his usual, angry, self.
"I don't know, I was just asking," I shrugged and took a step closer to him. He looked as if be thought i was going to attack him. His eyes widened and his grip on the sink tightened as he turned to face me.
"Just leave me alone, you.." he stopped himself from calling me a name. Something was definitely up with him.
"No nickname today Travis?" I say, definitely a little more confident than usual. I was going to regret this. I flinched when he started to move towards me. But he just moved past me to grab his bag off the floor. How had I not realized that was there before?
"I'm trying to me less of a dick," he sighed, "not that you deserve my kindness, freak." He looked back at me, "I mean, Sally," he corrected himself. So he really was trying to be less of a dick. He's got a long way to go.

He hurried out of the bathroom and the door slammed behind him. What has gotten in to that dude?
