The final decision (One shot for "My wattpad love")

Almost two years passed after Evan and I slept together and made our relationship officially official. Ever since, my life has been perfect.

That day we were at Starbucks. I would prefer Ruffles but when I told Evan he laughed and told me that it was too early for Ruffles.

"It's not like you won't eat Ruffles again, Jules. I promise that there will always be Ruffles at our breakfast. Every day for the rest of our lives."

"For the rest of our lives?" I asked

"Yes... Hum... I was supposed to wait until you graduate but..."

He took a deep breath and kneeled in front of me. My palms started sweating. What is he doing?!

"Julie Ann Jones, will you marry me?" he asked looking into my eyes

Tears welled up into my eyes. I couldn't talk. I just nodded and he gave me an ear to ear grin. He slipped a little box out of his pocket. He opened it and revealed a beautiful ring with a diamond.

He slipped it around my ring finger and I hugged him tightly.

"I love you" I stated

"I love you too. Forever. And thanks"

"Thanks for what?"

"For being you. For being patient. For everything" he stated and everyone around us started clapping and cheering.

Two months later, here we are. Our wedding would take place into a beautiful garden. Evan and I decided to keep it simple. Just a few friends and family members.

"You are beautiful!" Lau exclaimed

"And so are you" I said happily

"Will Shane come?" I asked Jordan who was standing next to her as usual

He gave a 'duh' look. "Of course not"

Shane tried to stay away from me for the last couple of years and never mentioned something about his feelings again. I could see he was unhappy though...

"Oh" I said sadly

It wasn't like I was happy knowing Shane was hurt...

"It's about time" Lau said

Walking across the little path which lead to Evan my pulse started racing. The priest started the ceremony by saying "We are gathered here today..."

However, I didn't hear a word he said after that. I was too lost into Evan's midnight black eyes.

"If anyone knows a reason why these two young people should not get married may speak up now or remain silent forever" the priest said

"I do!" we heard a voice

I turned around only to face Shane. He was wearing a white shirt and his hair was messy.

"Shane what are you doing?!" I asked in shock

"I'm saving you from making the dumbest choice in the history of dumb choices" he said and my jaw dropped to the floor

"Look, Jules, I can't give you a decent reason why you should not marry him, I really can't. And I swear I tried to stay away from you because I want you to be happy but this is stronger. Please stay with me, don't marry him"

"Why would I do that?" I asked

"Because I love you more than he does"

"How do you know?!" Evan growled

Shane glanced at him.

"How do you know Shane?" I asked

"I love you more than myself, Jules. And you know that I've been I love with myself since the day I was born. So, that means something right?"

Ok, he had a point. Evan couldn't love me more than Shane loved himself but still...

"Shane, leave" I said flatly

Before I could hold them back, tears started rolling down my face... Seeing Shane like that was killing me inside.

"I love you little minion" he said giving me a moment of déjà-vu

"And I love you too jerkpid but this is just not right!" I yelled and everyone stared at me in shock

Wait... Did I just say what I think I just said????

Since when do I have feelings for Shane?!

Shane gave me a sad smile.

"Good luck Jules... And goodbye" he said and I burst into tears

"Don't do that" I said sobbing

"Jules" Evan muttered

"I'm so sorry" I whispered and hugged him

"Hey, hey. Don't be. I need you to be happy. Just go, I'll be fine. I promise" he said only for me to hear

"You're perfect and always know that I did love you..." I said

"I know. Good luck Mrs. Strawberry"

"Good luck dark poet" I said and pulled away

I ran and fell into Shane's arms.

"Want some Ruffles little minion?" Shane asked

"Sure!" I exclaimed happily

"You probably have to change" he said looking at my wedding dress

"Or not" I exclaimed. 

We both laughed and then, we left the garden...

I didn't know if it was the right thing to do. I wasn't even sure that Shane wouldn't go back to his self- confessed player self. And maybe I'd miss Evan at some point...

But at this moment... Shane was all I wanted and needed.
