"God! Would you just shut up!" It felt as though my alarm clock was getting louder and louder every minute. After a few minutes passed by of me just lying in my bed and staring at the ceiling, I had finally mustered up the energy to stop my alarm clock and check the time. And once I had realized what time it was I was shocked. " 7:35 a.m." my alarm clock read. "7:35?! How did I let this happen." I said as I sighed in exhaustion.

Today, being one of the most stressful, yet exciting days of my life was already off to a not-so-good start. Although, as nervous as I was I couldn't help but be excited for the long day ahead of me. Today was my first day on the job as a profiler in the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. It was always my dream since i was just twelve years old to someday be a part of the FBI, and i couldn't believe that i had finally achieved my goal after seven years of hard work. Making sure I had all my things (I have a tendency to always forget things at home.) I began to walk towards the door of my apartment. "Goodbye Munch, be a good boy." I said to my cat as I blew him a kiss and walked out the door.

After about a 45 minute drive that had felt like it lasted an eternity, I finally arrived at the FBI Headquarters. I tried not to appear as much as the nervous wreck that I truly was, but I knew that it was very evident. As soon as I walked in, my eyes crossed paths with the most gentle hazel eyes. In a hurry, I quickly broke eye contact with this mystery man in hopes that I wouldn't be late to the conference room, considering it was just my first day on the job. As I entered the new and unfamiliar room I was greeted by faces who were mostly unknown to me. Though I was able to remember some details of their faces solely because of how many times I had seen them on the news working cases.

"Hello there, you must be Agent Y/L/N. I'm SSA Aaron Hotchner, it's great to finally meet you. This is SSA David Rossi, SSA Emily Prentiss, SSA Derek Morgan, and SSA Jennifer Jareau."

As I went down the line shaking hands and greeting my new team, I realized that I had recognized the last man who had yet to be named.

"And there on the end, that's Dr. Spencer Reid." Agent Hotchner saids as soon as I had come face to face with the man on the end of the line.

I reached out for a handshake from the Doctor, but all I ended up receiving was a little awkward wave. I felt like I recognized this man from somewhere, his moppy brown hair and his kind hazel eyes. But since I couldn't quite put my finger on it, I decided to just remain silent and pay attention. Just a few minutes later I heard yet another new voice coming from the hallway......

" Coming team! Coming!" said this unfamiliar, yet exciting new vibrant voice. "Okay team, this one's a doozy. So a family of five was abducted j-"

"Baby girl." Morgan said with a nod in my direction.

I just stood there awkwardly waiting for this high-spirited woman to realize who I was.

"Oh my God! You must be Y/n Y/l/n! It's so good to finally meet you! I'm Penelo-"

But before this bubbly woman could finish Hotch interrupted with saying "This is our Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia."

"Well it's great to finally get to meet you as well Penelope." I said as I returned to my seat at the round table.

"Okay team, so a family of five was reported missing just last night, after last being seen at their local campsite, just outside San Jose, California. The campsite is called Woodley-Hills, and has been in business for 45 years. Tomorrow being their anniversary of being open for 45.5 years."

"Do we know if the owners of the campsite make a big deal about it being the half-year anniversary? It may not be a coincidence that this family was abducted just one day before the camp's half year anniversary for this year." Emily implied.

"The unsub could have experienced some kind of traumatic event in the middle of the year, possibly even when they were a child." Reid hypothesized.

As they were speaking I was contemplating whether or not I should share my thoughts. I ended up deciding to before it was too late.

"I believe we need to consider the possibility that the unsub and the owners of Woodley-Hills could somehow be connected."

"She's right. Garcia, I need you to check the campsites check-in records going back at least two weeks." Hotch said quickly.

"Got it Sir.'' Garcia said as she walked out of the room.

"Wheels up in 30." Hotch says, which signals the rest of the team to leave the room, so I decide to quickly follow behind.

--30 minutes later--

Once we settled on the jet, my fear of flying really took over me. I took a seat next to Emily. I was also across from Reid who was sitting next to Morgan. I tried to control my anxiety, but I just couldn't. My hands were shaking excessively and I couldn't form a single thought in my head that actually made sense. After 5 minutes of almost complete silence amongst the plane, Reid blurted out "Did you know that more than 25 percent of all Americans suffer from nervousness while flying? Aviophobia, as it's called, affects 6.5 percent of the population. That's more than 20 million people." He said this swiftly, without even looking up from his book."

"Was that supposed to make me feel better?" I joked lightheartedly in response to Spencer's comment.

"Uh-uh s-sorry?" Reid apologized unsurely.

After we all just sat and stared at each other for a moment we quickly broke into laughter. "You are too much, pretty boy." Morgan added with a laugh.

I looked over to see even Spencer cracking a smile, and Hotch, surprisingly. Hearing the team's laughter instantly gave me a sense of relief and calmed me down. I was greeted by a great sense of comfort and safety knowing that all these wonderful people sitting before me were going to ultimately become my new family. Although, our sweet moment came to an end as soon as we heard the sound of Garcia ringing in.

"Hello crime-fighters, here's some news. So, local P.D. is waiting at the campsite, they've already checked it out, but they said they are waiting there until you guys arrive. They left everything untouched. Oh! And that reminds me, I believe I've got our family here, we have a Joe and LIndsay Barnes, along with their three children: Charlie, Ava, and Alyssa."

"Got it Garcia, thank you." Hotch said quickly.

"Garcia out." and just like that she had disappeared off the screen.

"Okay, Reid and Y/l/n, I need you two to go to the scene and see what you could find and/or figure out. Morgan and Prentiss you two go see if you can talk to the camp's owners, while Rossi, JJ, and I will go to the local Police Department and set up." Hotch ordered.

We all nodded to show we understood, and just like that we had landed.
