triva on dinosaur train evolution

So far my most successful story is dinosaur train evolution but did you know that evolution wasn't the original title?

Originally i wanted to call it "Dinosaur Train: Adventures Beyond" the reason i titled it that is because buddy and his team are exploring new places that they've never seen before and there were alot of things that were very different here compared to the actual story and here are the many differences

Differences:

1:Buddy's birth parents

they are never mentioned in this version and they were basically ignored in this version
Unlike the actual version where they are the main reason why buddy hates valkyrie cause he killed them

2: valkyrie

The main villain of the series valkyrie is fierce and vicious and he has a secret he will never reveal and that secret is why he destroys but in the original version valkyrie was a generic villain and he was basically just irritated at buddy to be honest he felt more like a villain from power rangers in the original version but unlike the original the valkyrie we have now is more developed and you need to wait till the story unfolds to really know why he kills

3: buddy already knew about his powers

I made a huge arc about buddy unlocking his true potential he first awoken it in chapter 7 by pure chance because he got so angry but in the original version he already knew about his powers and i hated that cause his powers had to come from somewhere so i changed it because it wouldn't make sense so in the actual story buddy's birth father had powers before him but buddy's powers were unstable but in chapter 13 he finally unlocks his true powers i really didn't like the fact that buddy already knew about his powers in the original it just never made sense

4: Mr. And Mrs. Pteranodon were supposed to die

The pteranodon couple who took care of buddy were originally supposed to die during the original version of the story there were two ideas i had that had them die the first one was i would let valkyrie kill them so i can develop buddy more but i felt guilty of it i loved these characters so much the second option i had was they died from old age but that was just stupid so i scrapped it all together and just kept them alive

5: winter was supposed to be evil

If you've read the story then you probably know about gilbert troodon's alternate ego and that is winter he is very calm and wise and very jokey sometimes but in the original winter was a full on villain rather than help gilbert with his life he would instead ruin gilbert's life there would even be a chapter where gilbert gets separated with winter and buddy would kill winter but i thought that was too cliche to have the alter ego be evil and die so i changed winter completely

6: keenan was supposed to be evil

Keenan chirostenotes is one of my favorite characters in the story i made him a comic relief and a sarcastic character but in the original he would have been way different instead of being a polite teen he would have stayed a bully like he was when he was young and he would insult the team all the time but i thought that keenan needed respect so i changed him

7: Shiny was supposed to die

Shiny has always been my second favorite dinosaur train character she is a very focused on character throughout my story but originally she was going to die during the "tree of elements arc" she was supposed to have a battle with valkyrie and she was supposed to die i did this so i could develop gilbert tiny and buddy more but i thought it was too abrupt so i kept shiny alive

8: terry was going to be buddy's birth father

Terry tyrannosaurus is buddy's mentor but originally he was going to be his birth father but i chose not to do that since they look nothing like each other and if terry was that strong why didn't he just come back to his son? Thats why i decided to make him buddy's mentor instead

9: buddy was supposed to be smaller

When i released chapter 5 king of the sea buddy stated that he was 30 feet long and in the creature profile he is 15 feet in height but in the original he was way smaller he would have been 20 feet long and 10 feet in height but considering buddy was nearly an adult i decided to size him up

10: Shiny would have been annoying

Shiny in the story is very mature and caring especially to her family she doesn't want her family to be torn apart thats why she decided to help buddy with his issues but in the original shiny was less of a protective sister and more along the lines of an annoying wannabe fashion model in the original she would always talk about how shiny and beautiful she was and in the original she didn't give a care to her family and instead focused on her looks but i thought this was horrible because i know a lot of people love shiny and i wanted the characters in this story to grow and care for each other thats why i changed shiny completely
