Little Things

**DING** **DING**. My head shot up from my desk. "Falling asleep in class.. Again?" Niall, my bestfriend grabbed my hand and pulled me up. "Stayed up late doing homework." I rubbed my eyes and walked with Niall down the hall.

"I gotta use the restroom.. Wait outside?" I ran inside the bathroom before he could answer. There was a large body length mirror in the restroom. I checked myself out hopping nothing was on my butt since I was on my period. i was a tall/short skinny girl with brown eyes brown hair and a oval but round face(my name is mena, haha). I smiled and relieved there was nothing on me, i quickly did my business, and walked back outside. Niall was leaning up against the wall texting on his phone.

"I'm done. Wanna go to my house?" I smiled hopping he would say yes. "Yeah! Lemme text my parents telling them I won't be home soon." He texted his parents and we went to our lockers. Our lockers were right next to each others. Mine was blue and his was gray. I had my locker neatly organized while Niall's was full and unorganized.

"Have you ever though of cleaning your locker out?" I looked at him curiously and cocked my head.

"I'm a guy.."

"And I'm a girl, wanna state some more obvious things?" I laughed and grabbed my backpack he gave me a 'really?' Look and playfully bumped me on the shoulder. We walked to my house which is threw the woods and down a very long bumpy road. My phone started vibrating on the way there. I tried to ignore it since I was having a conversation with Niall and I didn't want to be Interrupted while talking. After the 5th time it ringing Niall laughed and said, "Just answer it, haha!" He grabbed my phone out of my back pocket which i didn't mind since he was my bestfriend. I grabbed my i phone that had a pink shiny case on it. it was was a girl ive known since 6th grade, her name is cora, i clicked talk and put the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?

"Hey why weren't you answering??"

"I was having a conversation with Niall."

"Oh, why won't you just date him!?"

"CORA!" I lowered my voice because he quickly turned his head and gave me a curious look. I whispered and turned my head the other way, "He's my bestfriend I can't just date him.. Plus, it would ruin our friendship."

"Haha, okay well can I come over?"

"Sure, but later.. Nialls coming over right now."

"Oh, okay. Well I gotta go, bye."

"Bye."

I hung up my phone a stuck it back in my pocket. "What was that all about?" He asked curiously and looked at me.

"It was cora, she was just talking about.. Me and you.. You know, get together and stuff."I turned a little pink and looked at him wondering what he would say.

"Oh." He turned a little red and smiled to himself.

We walked threw my front door and ran up the stairs. "MOM! NIALLS OVER!!" I yelled and ran into my room before she could answer. I jumped on my bed and laid down. "Are we gonna study or lay on your bed all day?" Niall chuckled and laid on the spot next to me.

"I'm thinkin of laying down all day." I stuck my tongue out, indicating I was tired and rolled my eyes.

"That would be just GREAT!" Niall laughed and turned to face me.

I turned to face him and tucked my hands underneath my head. I stared at Niall as he started at me. I grabbed his face and put it closer to mine.  

"WOW! I've never seen how blue your eyes are ! And we've been friend since childhood!!" He laughed and rolled his eyes. 

"WoW mena." He laughed again and turned facing me again.

"Hey Niall?" I turned to face him also.

"Yeah?"

"I don't know if this is a real question but...." I hesitated and rolled my eyes. "Nevermind."

"No tell me."

"It's nothing, it's stupid."

"No! I wanna know tell me! Pleease??" He stuck his lip out and gave me puppy dog eyes. I couldn't resist.

"Okay, don't laugh. Do you like me? Like, in a different way?" I literally wanted to slap myself right then. Who would ask there BESTFREIND if they had. Crush on them?! I'm so stupid I just wanted to shot myself.

"Wanna know something mena?"

"What?"

He got up and turned the lights off so it would be dark. The only light in the room was the light seeping in from the curtains. He jumped back on the bed and laid down.

"I-I I think I do.."

*Nialls POV* 

I got off the bed and turned off the light so it would be dark enough for her not to see me have a smile attack. I laid back down on the bed and faced her.

"I-I I think I do.." I smiled at the thought of us going out. Ive always really liked her ever since elementary. We stayed silent for a long period of time and then Mena broke the silence. "Nialler? I like you too." My heart pounded as if it would fly out of my chest any moment now. I smiled widely and thought it was time to make my move.

*Mena's POV*

"Nialler? I like you too." I bit my lip and closed my eyes tight. I didn't know what to do.. Ether scream or have a smile attack. I felt Niall put his hand on my face. He stretched it to the back of my head and pulled me close. I knew what was about to happen. We were about to kiss.. A moment I've been waiting for, for AGES! Our lips met and they moved together. No tongue or anything, just our lips pressed against each others moving in sync. My heart beat grew faster and closer together. I began to have butterflies. I moved my hand to the back of his neck. We moved apart and I could tell that we were BOTH smiling. Even in the dark.. Niall turned on his back and I snuggled up to him, laying on his chest.
