𝓕its of despair and submerged anger flew throughout Eddie's veins the following days. Endless hours of wallowing in his unwashed covers, his face covered in silent tears while his head rested against the flat pillows which definitely needed fluffing out from all the use. The room filled with nothing but darkness, a crack of sunlight streaking through the dark room.

Everything felt dull and brim. Every time the boy tried to lift a muscle from the bed, he felt his eyes water and his limbs shake — not wanting to come to the fact that he had to say goodbye. His eyes sore, he either kept them closed or stared darkly across the room at the blank wall.

The soft sound of the bedroom door opening, a trail of footsteps patting while a weight was but at the end of the bed near his feet. Too out of it to move and see who it was, Eddie clenched his jaw before he let out a small breath. "Eddie..." Stanley's inviting voice finally spoke up. This being Stanley's own room, Eddie couldn't help but feel like he was invading it, though he couldn't seem to get up from the spot he was sunk into.

"Leave me alone." He finally spoke, his tone dull and scratchy — the back of his throat sulking with dryness from not having spoke a word all day nor consumed a drop of water. Stanley stared at the back of his head in sympathy, swallowing his guilt before getting up from the end of the bed. The bedroom door closed, leaving Eddie with no one.

Only yet another weight sat closer. Frustrated tears welled up in Eddie's brown eyes, pulling the comforter up over his head as he shut his eyes tightly. "I said leave me alone." He repeated, voice straining. There was a timid silence, the blanket being lifted from the other side. Eddie peered down, a few stray tears sneaking down his cheek.

"No." A voice answered. Eddie met eyes with the familiar spirit. The one he felt to terrible about. He finally gained the courage to sit up slowly, looking up at Richie as the blanket was above the both of them. Eddie stared at him, brows furrowed in many overwhelming emotions. Sadness, numbness, the feeling of pitying himself and everyone else around him. He looked as if he was about to yell, before closing his mouth and falling into his arms instead.

Richie watched, looking down as he heard the stifled noises the brunette tried to hold back. The small hands of the boy Richie couldn't feel had a gripped hold on his t-shirt. Richie tilted his head and rested the palm of his hand on Eddie's head in hopes of comfort. "I'm sorry you feel so bad." He admitted, searching for any other emotion he held besides the dreadfulness. "I didn't mean for it to end like this, really." He mumbled, looking down at him with a ghost of a frown on his lips.

Eddie shook his head and slowly sat up, looking down to his own lap as his face was red with embarrassment. He never allowed his emotions to out-show his own self, which is why he always tried to hide them. His mom used to never let him cry in front of her, which is a habit he never seemed to let go of. Only this was harder than letting go of his own mother.
