Gosh! What am I to do?
You can do it Kaileen. Come on. Think straight. Deny that seductive body laid right in front of you.
Ugh! Like seriously, stop thinking about him being seductive. Do this right. Think straight and answer him. Again, in three: one… two… three.
I put on a serious face – which I hope to be convincing enough. “Because we have to get out of here. I don’t suppose you’d like seeing me walking on the streets butt naked. I have to get dressed, and we have to go home.”
My eyes dilated. Home. Dad. Dad is on the phone!
“You’re right. Your beautiful naked self should just be seen by me and me alone.” Kyle stated, but I wasn’t that attentive anymore.
“Dad?” I turned to the phone.
“Honey, you should have done that at home. It’s safer for both of you in there. Plus, you two are the only people at home. Why still choose a different place to do it?”
Oh me… he heard it. HE HEARD IT ALL! I have never been humiliated in my entire life as this. Not like this – and of all people, my DAD. My inner self fell in grief. What am I supposed to do?
“I’m sorry Mr. Spencer. I just thought it would be better if we spent the night someplace else.” Kyle answered dad.
“But we had a deal Kyle. Decisions like that could endanger both of your lives.” Dad replied with a gravely serious voice.
“I know sir. I’m sorry.” Kyle sincerely apologized.
“There’s nothing much to be discussed here since I have a pretty good picture of how good you two are doing. But Kyle, make sure you both get home safe, okay?” Dad ordered with a BETTER-DO-THIS-RIGHT-OR-YOU’RE-DEAD tone.
“I will Mr. Spencer.” Kyle politely answered.
“Kaileen.” Dad called.
“Yup dad?” I responded being drawn out of my thoughts about how tremendously embarrassing what dad heard from both Kyle and I are.
“Ken and I had a misunderstanding on the phone last night. Could you talk to your brother? He won’t take any of my calls.” Dad requested, his voice obviously filled with worry.
“Okay dad. I’ll call him.” I replied.
“Take care of yourselves, alright?” He reminded.
“We will dad. I promise.” I responded hoping to ease his worries.
My phone lit up notifying that the call has ended.
“You should get dressed.” Kyle spoke.
“Yeah.” I agreed. “So would you mind putting a shirt on and waiting outside?”
“Yeah, because I’d rather like it to watch you get dressed.”
I gave Kyle a stern look. This time, I’m really serious.
Seeing my expression, Kyle moved back saying. “Calm down there tiger. I’m going. I’m getting a shirt on and leave before you claw me.”
I watched him do as he said. He took a shirt from one of the remaining bags beside the closet and went outside.
I secured the blanket around me and made my way to the bathroom to change my clothes. Feeling slightly dizzy, I felt like I wasn’t in the mood for shower or anything. I’ll probably take a shower at home, but not for the moment. I put on the intriguing pair of underwear Kyle had given me and let out a sigh as I saw that the dress bought for me was also a red one. I immediately looked at the contents of the third paper bag – and surprise, surprise! It’s a dashing red stiletto.
I wore everything anyway – not that I’m against it. Everything that Kyle has given me is beautiful. But seriously? What’s with red? I looked at the mirror and wore a smile. I don’t look so bad in red. On the contrary, I think I look pretty nice.
Bringing the blanket and the empty paper bags, I got out of the bathroom. I searched for my clothes turning to look at every corner of the room, but none of it were there – well, except for my underwear on top of the desk. I placed the blanket on the bed and went to the desk and touched my blue undies. Having the feel of it, geez, it’s still really wet. Well, not the dripping kind of wet, but it’s humidly wet.
I went back to the bathroom and searched inside, but my clothes weren’t also there. Finally giving up my Mystery P.I. self, I went back to the night table taking my underclothes and shoved it to one of the empty paper bags.
“Kaileen, are you taking a bath? What’s taking you so long?” Kyle called from the other side of the door.
“Wait up. I’m heading out.”
I arranged the pillows properly on the bed and folded the blanket making sure the bed is nicely fixed. Taking the paper bags, I opened the door and right away saw Kyle.
“Wow. All red.” He commented.
Yeah. Like it’s not your idea to dress me this way.
“Where are my clothes?” I asked ignoring his remark.
“I sent it for dry cleaning.” He replied, then went inside the room.
I walked towards the stairs, and stopped as soon as I remembered that I am in the third floor. I looked down my heels and sighed. “Really?”
I bent down and took off my heels. I held my heels in my right hand, but before I could take my first step down, Kyle grabbed me and carried me to his arms.
I started struggling. “Kyle what are you doing?”
“Hey, do you want us to have some serious injury?”
“Put me down!” I demanded.
“Kaileen. I’m getting fed up with all of your shouting since the very minute you woke up this morning. If you dare open your mouth one more time, I’m really going to kiss you.”
I looked away from him and uttered, “Fine.”
Unexpectedly, he pressed his lips on mine.
I gazed at him with wide eyes and protested, “Hey –”
Without even me finishing what I’m supposed to say, he kissed me again. He just gave me a smirk. A really wide smirk that tells me he really likes what’s going on. I closed my eyes out of frustration and sighed.
I looked at him again and he was waiting for me to complain – waiting for another reason to press those enticing pink lips on mine. Not that I don’t want it. It’s totally not like I’m against what’s happening. I like it. I do. I’d be a hypocrite if I don’t admit that myself.
It’s just that, everything should have balance. This situation to be exact, definitely needs to have balance. As I’ve told him before, if he’s pro-romantic, then I play the role of anti-romantic. It would keep us in our boundaries.
