Daichi came running out of the house upon receiving Rise's text. Just as she entered his line of sight, he tackled her in a hug, picking her up and swinging her around.

"Daichi, I'm gonna be sick you if don't put me down!" Rise exclaimed, clinging to his shoulders so she wouldn't go flying off.

"Am I not allowed to be excited that my favorite cousin is coming to live me?" He questioned, carefully setting the shorter girl down.

"I'm your only cousin, you ass," she joked, lightly punching him in the shoulder.

Before Daichi could get another sentence out, Rise interrupted. "I still can't thank you enough for doing this for me," she said quietly. "I just hope I'm up to your parent's expectations."

Daichi became sad at those words. Knowing she sacrificed her own well-being to be perfect in her parents eyes and the eyes of others, and never managed to be good enough for them, broke his heart.

"Rise, you don't have to worry about that anymore," he consoled, setting his hands upon her shoulders. "The reason why you're here is so you don't have to deal with that anymore. You're not with them, you're with me."

"Shit, you really know what to say, huh?" she chortled, quickly wiping a tear that ran down her cheek.

"What would I be team captain for?"

"Oh shut up, and help me."

After quickly agreeing, and grabbing a few of her bags, they walked inside together to the empty upstairs room.

To Rise's bad memory, when walking by Daichi's room, she saw a tuft of silver hair peaking from under the blanket along with a soft and gentle face, she couldn't remember what the boy's name was.

"So who's the boy sleeping in your room, boyfriend perhaps?" Rise teased lightly, bumping her shoulder with his.

"You better slow your role before I smack you. He's the friend I mentioned yesterday, Koushi."

Rise let out a small 'ah,' her step faltered as her gaze was mesmerized by how ethereal and gentle he looked.

I hope he isn't an ass.

"Stop staring and start unpacking your stuff," Daichi scolded.

"Yeah, sorry."
