“Alright.” She said closing in the door.

“I can curse you out if I want to! You’re the reason I was in jail! You’re the reason why nobody won’t hire me man! They didn’t even use a cute picture when they showed me on TV.”

“Okay one, it was Daniel. Two, Daniel again, and Three?”

“Daniel?”

“We’re getting somewhere!”

“Then where the fuck is Daniel!?”

“Planning his revenge.”

“Hey hey hey.” I said putting my hand in her face to stop her. “As much as I’d love to hear about your sex stories with that asshole, there’s more important things here.”

“Like how I should report Daniel’s second accomplish to the police?”

“I have a daughter, her mom died and I’m all she has!”

Christina’s face softened, but then she looked at me and sighed.

“I’m sorry, but you should’ve thought about that before you got involved in this, it’s affecting my life too you know.”

“I only got in this to get money to help my daughter.”

“How much did he offer you?”

“Twenty-five thousand.”

“Well shit.”

“I’ll give you a quarter of that money if you keep quiet and help me take him down.”

“Half.”

“A quarter! I have a daughter to take care of!”

“I have a reputation to rebuild!”

“Fine, I’ll take the quarter.”

“Thank you so much.” I said as I held my hand out to shake hers.

She hesitated but shook it eventually.

“So what’s the plan?”

“How about to get back to you when I have one?”

“Wow.” She groaned as she rolled her eyes, “You better make up one quickly. Can I leave now? Or is your girlfriend going to threaten to put me down again.”

“You can lea—Girlfriend? She isn’t my girlfriend.”

“Mhmm.” Christina said as she made her way to the door.

“Where are you going?” Jasleen said as she held the needle in front of Christina.

“He said I could leave so move that thing!”

“Latimore?” Jasleen asked looking at me.

“Let her go.” I said.

“Okay.”

Jasleen put the needle back in her pocket and Christina bolted out the room.

“Did you solve everything you had to solve?” She asked as she walked closer to me.
