The Hair Incident of 71'

"SIRIUS BLACK I'M GOING TO BLOODY MURDER YOU!" screeched Marlene McKinnon stomping into the Gryffindor common room. There stood three of the four marauders laughing their bloody heads off. Remus just shook his head and tried to hide his smile with his hand. "Sirius this isn't funny!" huffed Marlene. "I think it's bloody brilliant." wheezed the twelve year old 1st year. "Marls what are you- Oh bloody hell." sighed Lily entering the Gryffindor common room. "Oh come on McKinnon I think pink looks good on ya." snickered James. Lily scolded James and pulled out her wand. "Thankfully it's an easy fix." smiled Lily. "Oh thank the gods Lils you're the best." thanked Marlene. "Capillam Colorem." said Lily swishing her wand and pointing it at Marlene's hair. Instantly Marlene's hair went from bubble gum pink back to her normal golden blonde. "Aw come on Evans why you gotta ruin the fun." groaned James. Lily ignored the black haired boy's comment. "Marls how did you even let him hex you so obviously?" asked Lily trying to get to the bottom of the ridiculous prank. "No spells love." winked the medium haired boy. Marlene's eyes went wide and she ran straight for the shower that herself, Lily, and two other Gryffindor first year girls shared. She opened her shampoo bottle to find it tinted pink. Marlene rushed right back down. "What in bloody hell were you doing in the girl's bathroom?" gasped Marlene. 

"You know for a couple of first years you lot make a lot of noise." yawned third year Alice Prewett coming down into the common room wearing her boyfriend's over sized shirt. "Alice." whined Marlene looking at her older friend for some help. "They'll grow out of it. Now all of you go to bed! Girls let's go!" instructed Alice shaking her head and heading back to the girls rooms. No one moved and Marlene was in a stance that looked like she was about to tackle Sirius. "I don't hear feet moving." remarked Alice who was ascending the stairs. The six of them dispersed and went their separate ways.
