"I'm off to school mum. Bye. Love you" says Daniella. She runs out of the house with lightning speed, hoping to meet her best friends Max and Avala on the way.
Soon, she was joined by her besties. They walked to school together. "Watch out!" screamed Max as he quickly turned and held Daniella. Protecting her from the the paint that was about to hit her.
"Oh my God! Max are you OK?"
"Yes. I'm fine." said Max. "I couldn't let the paint ruin your dress."
"But it ruined yours. Now your white jacket is stained. I'm so sorry."
"It's ok. C'mon, we have to get to school. We can't be late for first period....again." said Max smiling at her. Daniella smiled back.
Feeling left out, Avala rolled her eyes and continued walking without them. They noticed and ran to meet her. They asked why she left without them.
"I didn't want to ruin the moment between you lovebirds."
"We're besties, Avala not lovebirds." replied Max.
Daniella's face changed when she heard those words. Avala turned to Daniella and saw the gloomy look on her face. She noticed that looked. It was the look that meant Daniella need a hug and be told "Everything will be alright". But Max didn't.
"What's wrong? You look like exactly how you did when Allan Sher beat you in that dancing contest back in 3rd grade." laughed Max.
"It's just that..... I'm scared. What if we don't see each other again after college? Are we still gonna be besties? What if......." Avala stopped her right there.
"OK, that's enough. Sweetie we've been over this. We'll always be besties. No matter what happens or which college we're in, OK? So cheer up before I slap the frown out of your face.' she said holding her hand and smiling at her.
Max walked up to her and hugged her.
"Thanks guys. You're the best. Love you."
So they're at school. And just in time for first period. They settle down for class. Daniella remembers what has earlier happened and smiled.
'I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Max and Avala are my besties. They're so.......'
Her thoughts were interrupted when a cute boy, with dark hair, blue eyes, and dimples walked in the class. The Principal introduced him to everyone and said this is his new class. Daniella's heart skipped a beat. Her eyes were fixed on the cute thing that just walked in. The boy found an empty seat right next to Daniella
"Hey, I'm Evan."
