The day had finally come, your boyfriend was finally going to meet your parents and younger sister, Charlotte. You felt just a tad bit nervous as you wanted your family to love him but you also knew that there was nothing to really worry about as you knew that Sonny would win them over.

Now here you were, in the car driving towards your parent's house with Sonny driving. Since I told him to just wear casual clothes, he decided on wearing a simple white button up along with blue jeans while I wore a black dress along with heels.

Once we parked in my parent's driveway, I grabbed his hand to offer him comfort as I knew he was nervous about the encounter that was about to happen. We walked to the front door and I gave him a final squeeze to the hand before I knocked on the front door.

It wasn't long before my mother opened the door and greeted us both and as predicted, she immediately hugged Sonny as a greeting, now we just had to hope that my dad would have the same, if not similar, reaction to meeting him.

We both walked to the living room where both your sister and father were sitting down. I greeted them both before introducing Sonny to them both. My sister reacted as I thought she would and offered him a gentle smile before winking at me. While my dad simply shook Sonny's extended hand, good start, I thought.

I headed to the kitchen to help my mom with the final touches to the dinner as Sonny sat down in one of the various chairs ready to be interrogated by my dad. My sister arrived in the kitchen after a few minutes to give an update on what was happening in the living room.

"How's it going?" I asked as I was helping my mom

"Surprisingly, wonderful! He's giving the right answers anyway" She answered

"How do you find him" I asked as I looked over to her

"I can tell he's a good guy to you, he's a keeper (y/n)" She said smiling

"Thanks, I knew you would love him" I said back

"I mean how can I not, have you seen him? Let's not even start with his thunder thighs, you can tell the guy works hard on his appearance" She swooned over him

"Charlotte!" My mom scolded her

"Don't start falling for my boyfriend" I playfully scolded her back

"Anyway, stay in the living room so that you can continue to give me updates" I said as I shooed her back into the living room

My mom and I finished with the dinner and called for everyone to move to the dinning table. I helped my mom bring out the food before joining everyone at the table. I sat down next to Sonny who looked surprisingly chilled out, I then looked at Charlotte who mouthed 'I'll tell you later' to me and I just nodded.

Throughout dinner, Sonny and my dad bonded over football and the latest transfers from different teams. But most importantly, they bonded over Sonny's career and my dad seemed like he was genuinely proud of how far Sonny had come so far.

The rest of the night went by smoothly as, after dinner, my parents shared embarrassing pictures of me during my childhood and told funny but embarrassing stories of my doings as a kid. Sonny and I decided to leave hours after we had arrived much to the dismay of my family as we were truly having a good time together.
