My Amazing Life with Katydid

I was born in Cicada Hive. My mother never loved me and my father cared nothing more than a crumb for me. I loved Katydid and that was it really. My mother left for Jewel Hive when I was five. Jewel Hive is ruled by Lady Jewel. She really likes art. When we visit Mother, she's always going to some party that Lady Jewel is holding. See, there are Hives that we dragons live in. Each sister or close female relative rules a hive. For my hive, Lady Cicada rules. She also houses her and Queen Wasp's aunt, Lady Scarab.

See, I was always curious and if there was a battle of decisions in my head, curiosity would always win! I bet if my curiosity was on the side of the LeafWings in the tree wars, they could've won! Hahaha.......oh gosh this is awkward. Ignoring that, I always had a lot of questions in my head and usually, Katydid was the only dragon whoever answered them. When I asked a question to my mother she would say, "Stick your dirty nose to the ground, you defected lizard!" If that happened Katydid would cheer me up and but me some Honeydrops.

Katydid and I always had fun on weekends. We would go to the town pool, eat at the sugar cafe, take walks and read at the local library and sometimes even go for a flight or two. Also, did I mention that I'm a dragon? Anyways, I always loved Katydid, she would make sure I saw the eye doctor for my glasses and she was basically my parent. When I was a one year old or two year old, Katydid would tuck me to bed and read to me until I fell asleep. I will forever keep her safe and sound.

I was sometimes scared at night. If I was I would go to Katydid's room. If I told her I couldn't sleep, she would get out of bed and play with me until I got sleepy. If I was sick she would buy me the most expensive medicines with her own allowance. If I was scared she'd tell me a story. If I was angry she would meditate with me. If I was bored she would play with me. If I wanted her to help me in school she'd be there. This is why Katydid is my one and only friend.

Katydid is the only dragon that I have ever loved for as long as I can remember. She is willing to do so many risk full things for me. With her around I can deal with my mother forever. I know this may sound wrong but she is my only friend.That was so corny. Haha......sorry....."Crickets Awkward Minute Time".......Oops, that was awkward too.......you know what? too many awkward moments in this chapter, lets just end it already.
