A day full of surprises

Kirishima's POV

After I'd woken up and done my usual morning routine, I went down to the common area for breakfast. I sat down in the chair, the food already in front of me. I quickly said my prayers. I didn't notice I had spaced out till Bakugo said ''Hey Shitty Hair, why are you spacing out ?'' I snapped back to reality and turned my face toward him. ''Huh ?'' Was all I said before Mina yelled ''Ooooohh Is someone in lovee !?!''.'' No, No, no I'm not in love with anyone !!'' I tried to defend myself but the blush that had crept on to my face betrayed me. I wish I could say that whilest I was spacing out my mind wasn't full on thoughts of my pink haired best friend Mina but it was, so I guess Mina was right. I was in love with someone but I can't tell her who it is. I just don't want to lose my amazing friend. I know it's cheezy but I really do love everything about her, her smile, her hair, her laugh, her personality just everything. Images of Mina's smile once again filled my head. Whilest thinking all of this, I hadn't realized I have spaced out again. This time everyone was yelling at me but I was way too deep in thought to notice. Suddenly I felt a hand karate chopped in my shoulder. I instantly turned around to face Iida. With concern written all over his face he asked ''Are you okay Kirishima ? You've been zoned out for 10 minutes now.''. ''Oh I have ? I'm sorry'' I responded, rubbing my hand on the back of my neck. I got up, put the dishes in the kitchen sink and started walking to class. As I was walking I heard the yells of an all too familiar girl behind me. ''Hey !! Wait up Kirishima !!''. I stopped to let her catch up. As she stood next to me, a sudden cheeky smile appeared on her perfect face. ''Soo who's the lucky person ?'' She asked. I turned to her, confusion on my face. ''What do you mean ?'' I said hesitantly. ''Who's the lucky person who's got you whipped for them ?'' Mina responded with a giggle.''O-oh it's no one''. Crap! I stuttered. ''You sure about that buddy ?'' She said, skipping like a little child slightly in front of me with a huge smile on her face. ''I can't find anything from you can I ?'' I said as I let out a light chuckle. ''Nope, you can't. We are horn buddies after all'' She responded. ''So what's up'' Mina asked a gentle smile still on her face. God I love it when she smiles. '' I'm in love with this one girl that I've known for a while and we're close friends. I have a huge crush on her but I really don't want to ruin our friendship'' Mina slowly nodded, reassuring me she was listening. '' Have you ever been in this kind of situation?'' I ask out of the blue. To my surprise she nodded and let out a sigh. ''Yeah I have been, actually I'm in that kind of situation right now. I don't really know what to do either. I tried asking Kaminari but all he said was 'Do I look like I get girls ?!' So that failed''. ''Well then we're both screwed'' I let out a chuckle as Mina just nodded. ''Or we could meet up at the cafe you like after school and make a game plan to confess to our crushes''Mina suddenly suggested. ''That works for me!'' I replied cheerfully. '' Then that's what we'll do! See you then !!'' Mina yelled as she started running towards the classroom.

After classes I was walking up to the cafe ad for some reason I felt oddly nervous. ''Calm down it's just Mina, your best friend. You don't have to get sooo nervous '' I told myself, loud enough for Mina to hear me. ''Why are you talking to yourself ?'' She questioned me whilest giggling. '' O-oh it was nothing''. WHY DO I KEEP STUTTERING !?!? ''Let's go in shall we ?'' Mina said giving me a warm smile that made me melt. I nodded in response and we walked in to the small but cozy cafe. We quickly ordered our drinks and food and sat in uncomfortable silence. Mina suddenly broke the silence. ''So Kirishima I kinda wanted to talk to you about something'' I raised a brow at her words as I turned towards her and reassuringly said ''Sure what is it ?''. For some reason she looked very nervous, which is not like her so I was a bit concerned. '' Well You see''- ''I like you'' the last part was said in a whisper so I couldn't hear it properly. ''I'm sorry I didn't hear the last part. Could you say it again ?'' I asked with a gentle smile ''I LIKE YOU OKAY !!'' She raised her voice, slightly startling me. The only words I could get of my mouth were ''You do ?'' I could tell my face was surprised. ''I know you don't feel the same. I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything'' She quickly added. Before she could say anything else I gave her the biggest hug I could over the table and said without thinking '' I like you too. Please don't regret telling me how you feel!'' She looked up at me as I slowly let go of my tight hold on her. ''Wait ? You like me too ? As like more than friends ?'' I nodded. She pulled me into a tight hug and let out a little cry of relief.

After we finished our food and drinks we decided to go on a little walk in the city to talk a bit more cuz at the dorms you're lucky if you get privacy in your own dorm. As we were walking, we came across a little ice cream shop. I peaked through the window only to spot a familiar spiky blond headed boy and short brown haired girl at the counter ordering ice cream. To my surprise Bakugo's permanent frown was replaced with a warm loving smile meant only for the girl next to him. At first it was kind of hard to place who the girl looked like but as soon as the young lady turned toward Bakugo, revealing her face, I said out loud ''Uraraka ?'' Mina turned to face me and suddenly noticed I was looking at the store we were about to enter. She then proceeded to look where I was staring and noticed Bakugo and Uraraka. ''What are those two doing here ?'' She asked as if I knew the answer. '' I don't know, let's go ask'' Mina nodded, am genuine smile on her face. We walked into the shop hand in hand. As we were walking up to the surprising pairing, Bakugo noticed us and confusion was written all over his face. ''Kirishima and Mina ?'' He said only confusion in his face. Uraraka noticed and turned to us. A smile instantly appeared on her face as she called out to us ''Hey Kirishima, Mina!''. Mina let go of my hand and walked up to the girl nudging her in the arm before whispering in her ear something to make Uraraka flustered. ''N-no it's not like that !'' Uraraka tried to explain but Mina is stubborn and kept asking if the brunette was sure of her answer. Meanwhile Bakugo was looking at the two girls in utter confusion. ''What's up Bakubro !'' I chimed in, Bakugo suddenly snapped back to reality and responded in a very relaxed voice ''Nothing much, just got back from training with Pink Cheeks and she wanted to stop for some ice cream'' I nodded with a smile ''So what about you and Raccon eyes? You guys were holding hands earlier'' Bakugo added with a smirk. ''O-o we were just going on a little walk after our date''I told him honestly. ''Well good for you buddy'' Bakugo said. To my surprised he had chuckled and he seemed very calm, which as everyone knows is rare for the hothead.

After that little conversation the girls joined in and reminded us that we should probably order instead of making a mess in the store. So that was exactly what we did. As we were eating our ice cream we were all talking, i was surprised how soft Bakugo was acting, especially towards Uraraka. It was nice seeing him with his walls down for once. Once we were done, we walked back to our dorms. The day ended with Mina officially becoming my girlfriend and us seeing a romance blossom between our hotheaded explosion boy Bakugo and sweet little angle Uraraka. It's days like this that make me forget about all the trouble of going to UA and the stress of being constantly under attack.
