The moon shone down on Bryce's pale skin, catching my eye. After a night of lots of alcohol and fun, Bryce and I stopped on a bench near the party.

"What are you looking at Josh?" Bryce questioned.

 "Nothing." I quickly looked away.

Bryce and I had been friends since we were kids, and lately, I had begun acknowledging my feelings for him. I didn't know if he knew about these feelings, or maybe if he felt the same way. I didn't want to ask him in fear of ruining our friendship.

"Nice weather tonight," Bryce observed.

I responded with a quick "Yeah."

"Hey man," Bryce said with a confused expression, "Why have you seemed so distant lately?"

My heart skipped a beat. I could see that Bryce really cared about me at that moment.

"I've been super busy with the rest of the guys." I lied.

Bryce and I are apart of the Sway house together, and I didn't want to tell him the truth. That the real reason I've been distant is that I didn't want to face Bryce after discovering my feelings.

"That's good," Bryce paused, "But you know you have to take a break every once in a while."

I feel that warm feeling again knowing Bryce really cares about me. I begin to question if maybe he does share my feelings.

"That's sweet of you to worry, but we need to be on top of it if we want to stay relevant."

"Ok, but please don't overwork yourself."

"I won't," I promised.

"How are you dealing with the whole Nessa situation?" Inquired Bryce.

"I'm getting along as good as I can right now. She was special to me, and I could never forget the impact she made on my life, and me as a person."

I reminisce in all the happy moments we shared. Of course I had feelings for Bryce, but I now wondered if I was still hung up on Nessa. For a second, I thought I saw a hint of pain in Bryce's eyes. This only just further confirmed my suspicions about Bryce's feelings.

I asked him, "What's going on with you and Addison?"

"We just didn't connect on a personal level. I've heard rumors that Addison only dated me for the clout, and honestly, I believe it."

"That snake!" I say, obviously too enthusiastic, because Bryce shoots me a weird look. I blush, embarrassed.

"Hey, it's getting late want me to take you home?" Bryce asks.

"Sure." I say.

The party took place outside of LA, and it would take over an hour to drive home. I walked to Bryce's car and got into the passenger seat. Bryce turned on the radio and swayed along to the music. We were driving down the dark streets not even halfway home as it starts to rain. Bryce is getting more frustrated by the second, and I worry that he regrets his offer to drive me home. I don't want to seem like a burden, so I offer to take the wheel. Bryce refuses and curses when we miss a stoplight. I start to become worried.

"Bryce, it's ok, we can pull over and spend the night in your car." Bryce sighs and nods. We pull over in an abandoned Walmart parking lot, I climb into the back and push the seats back. I glance over at Bryce and he seems pissed.

"Are you mad at me Bryce?"

"No, I just wish we weren't in an abandoned Walmart parking lot in the rain at 3:00." I can hear the sarcasm in his voice, so I decide not to annoy him anymore.

"Ok well, goodnight I guess." I say.

Bryce grumbles and nods at me. I settle into the leather interior, unable to fall asleep as my mind is consumed by thoughts of Bryce.
