The Nerds My Mate

Chapter Two

Rose POV

I followed the scent to the back of the party and when I saw my mate I nearly cried. My mate is James Collins. James is the biggest nerd in the whole pack. My wolf was still excited to see my newly found mate. I was so angry, disappointed, and really sad. Why would I be matched up with a nerd? I am the Alphas daughter! He is a stupid Omega!

He looks up at me with shock written all over his face. His friends look at him with what I think is jealousy. I turn around and storm out of the party. I get into my families limo and order the driver to take me home.

I reach the house and my mother runs to the limo looking very excited. I get out and start crying. My mother looks at me with concern.

"Honey, did your mate reject you?" She says softly. I whimper into her shoulder. We walk into the house and we sit on the couch.

"Mommy, my mate is a stupid Omega and I think I am gonna reject him!" I tell her. Her face turns red and she moves away and stops comforting me. I am confused by her actions.

"YOU WILL NOT TURN HIM DOWN YOUNG LADY! YOU WILL LOVE HIM NO MATYER WHAT! I WILL SEE TO IT THAT YOU AND THIS BOY ARE TOGETHER, UNDERSTAND ME?" She screams at the top of her lungs.

I cower down and nod my head. My mother just used her Alpha-Female tone with me so I know that I have no say in this. I got to my room and fall on my bed, afraid of the next week to come. When you find your mate you are required to move out of your parents house and live in a home with them. I sigh and close my eyes.

James POV
I am shocked when I see Rosetta Olten walking my way sniffing the air. Her eyes meet mine and I see a wave of emotions go over her face. I sniff the air and am taken aback when I realize she's my mate. The other guys give me looks of jealousy.

She turns and runs away, I think she's crying but I can't tell. I don't know but I think I just got rejected by my mate. I get up and leave, I found my mate and shifted so what else am I supposed to be here for?

I feel my wolf get sad when he thinks that we're rejected. I just walk home feeling like the complete loser I am.

When I get home I sit on my bed and decide to do some algebra for some fun. Yeah, I know I'm a complete nerd. But, I like doing stuff like this. Math in particular is my favorite. I sigh and start working the Algebra problems.
