Ren walked into the bar with his coworkers, Amie and John. He was hit with the smell of cigarettes and booze almost instantly.

"Let's talk to him." Amie pointed at the bartender and dragged the two men over to them. Ren fixed his mask as he approached, while Amie flipped her braids out of her face.

"Care to chat?" John sat down on one of the dirty seats at the bar, making Ren recoil in disgust.
The bartender walked over to the group, eyeing them up and down.

"What do you want?" The bartender seemed off, as though he was wary of the newcomers. Ren made a note of this.

"We got a call, heard you've been having some trouble?" Ren stared at the man as he spoke, trying to gauge his reaction. "Ah yes! The issue has been, uh, resolved!" The bartender looked scared, which was the reaction Ren was looking for.

Ren nodded at Amie and John, signalling something. In almost complete unison, they began to mutter an incantation. The bartender screamed, his true form showing. Ren could hear the man's bones crack as he changed into a fledgling, a short, red demon with small horns and tiny wings. He almost looked like a goblin in Ren's opinion.

The group took out their weapons. Amie took the first shot. She loaded up her crossbow with holy bolts and shot the fledgling in the chest, causing him to screech in pain.
John was up next. The brunette slipped on his divine brass knuckles and hopped over the bar, swiftly punching the fledgling in the face a few times.

Ren looked upon his coworkers as they brought the fledgling to near death. Before the final blow, they looked at their boss, him giving them the final nod. Ren jumped over the bar, landing in front of the fledgling. "You're all scum!" The fledgling coughed out a few words before Ren unsheathed his blade and drove it through the fledgling's skull.

The few remaining people in the bar screamed and ran out, leaving the group to clean up their mess.

Blood on their hands, blood on their masks. "Wash the filth from yourselves. We've got to move on."

As Ren took off his mask to clean it, he looked in a mirror hanging behind the bar.

Bright blue eyes stared back.

Ren looked confused, as his eyes are brown.

The reflection laughed at him, it mocked him. "You'll never be as good as him, Renny!"

He punched the mirror. Ren put his mask back on and walked outside, where his coworkers were waiting for him.

"Let's roll."
