Mad House

Chapter One: The Valeska's

Panic, that's all she felt, she didn't want to lose him but she felt it was inevitable, he laid before her with his eyes shut and his body was still "Leo, please don't leave me!" she begged running a bloody hand over his face, she slipped her shirt off and placed it on his bleeding wound "Leo please.. I love you, please don't leave me!" she bowed her head down and let her tears fall "Barbara-" a voice said from behind her but she ignored it "I never got to tell him" she sobbed, Cade scooped her up and pulled her into his chest "I never got to-" "I know" he said patting her back as she sobbed into his chest.

4 years earlier.

Leo threw his covers off him and rolled over, he heard light snoring and smiled, he opened his eyes and saw his best and really only friend Barbara-Lee Gordon Jnr, she was his favorite person, she was sleeping soundly on the small couch he had in his bedroom, he stood up and crouched down in front of her on the ground and she slowly opened her eyes and smiled upon seeing his face "morning, angel eyes" she smiled brightly and sat up "morning tiger" he shook his head with a smile "I call you something cute and get tiger?" "you call me angel eyes everyday.. I don't even get it" he just shrugged and sat down next to her and she put her legs across his lap, he rubbed her legs lightly and looked to her "what?" "your legs are really smooth today" she chuckled a bit "that's generally what happens when you shave your legs" "hm, maybe I should go for a shave, and a hair cut" he said rubbing his stubble, she leaned close to his face and rubbed his cheek and jaw with her small hand then ran her hand through his relatively long fire colored locks and nodded "definitely, come on" she jumped up and grabbed his hands and pulled him up, they ran out of his room but stopped when they entered the chaotic kitchen.

Leo's mother Sky was making lunches, his father Jerome was on the phone, his little sister Ariella was making a messy house out of her waffles while talking to her mother, his youngest brother River was making the liquids in the room float around him, and his twin brother Cade sat at the table with a girl on his lap showing him how to 'study' he was the smartest of the Valeska children and definitely didn't need a tutor or study partner, everyone knew why she was really there, they were very loud at night 'studying', Sky turned and smiled at her son and Barbara, she kissed his cheek "morning mom" "good morning honey.. breakfast is on the table for you both" she rubbed his cheek "and have a shave, girls don't like to kiss spikes" she winked at Barbara and turned back to her other children, 2 years ago Jerome told Leo that he was going to marry Barbara but he told him he didn't see her that way, but for some reason he never forgot the words his dad said, and everyone in the house was 110% convinced he and Barbara were together, she stayed over almost every night, they'd call each other cute nicknames, and they were very flirty and suggestive, but that was just how their friendship was, neither of them had a problem with it, or at least he didn't think they did.

Barbara took his hand and they walked past everyone to the bathroom and shut the door, she ran the water warm and he squirted a small bit of shaving cream on her hand and she rubbed it into his face, he sat on the counter and she stood in between his legs and started shaving his face, he held her waist which she didn't pay any mind to and finished his face, she filled the tub with warm water and sat him on a seat in front of the tub and leaned his head back till all his hair was soaked, he grabbed her waist and rubbed his wet hair on her stomach drenching her shirt making her giggle and splash him with the water, she put shampoo then conditioner through, rinsed it out then dried his hair, she grabbed the scissors and a comb and gently combed his hair and started trimming it, he watched her intensely and pushed his knees wider apart so she could stand in between his legs and trim the front of his hair.

She looked down at him and smiled "what?" he gently shook his head "nothing, I'm just glad you're here with me, B" she playfully tapped his forehead "where else would I be, dumbass?" "oh yeah that's right, you don't have a life outside of me" she playfully scoffed and shoved him jokingly "how dare you miss Gordon" she giggled and he wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up then sat down and pulled her onto his lap, she laughed and he pushed her hair out of her face and behind her ear "I could listen to you laugh all day" she playfully rolled her eyes with a smile "no you couldn't" "wanna bet?" "you and your bets.. I guarantee one day you'd bet your life if you could" "hey, life's just one big game, gotta play to win" "and what's the prize?" "when I figure it out B, I'll tell ya".
