The land of the light they called it. streets paved with gold, the joyous laughter of children would fill the air, the busy hustle and bustle of the days work would keep the citizens happy. The rulers were fair and the laws just. Men were equal, none above another, greed was little and people had all they needed. That was until the age of man had come to an abrupt end. Now blood paved the streets and laughter had been replaced by screams of terror. You see, the demons had come through the gate, nothing was there to stop them, now they rule this land, this land that had once been pure and free. Only death visited now, frequenting often. Before they came, it was said a man held the gate. A single man, known in these parts only as 'The Saint'. It was said that he could fell an army with a single strike, that he was invincible, undefeated. Demons and devils alike trembled in his wake. They say he is blessed by the heavens, a divine warrior of unimaginable skill. If this man was so omnipotent why do demons walk this land, I hear you ask. Some say he commanded a legion of angels, and that after the last battle, he lay with one. Then, another angel, furious at what he heard confronted the man, and ended up paying with his life, and thus, 'The Saint' no longer blessed by the divine, left to wander the earth as an ageless, empty man. But these are just stories.
