Ok, so this is the second chapter as you can see and the girls just got to the school where they see Miyako. I'll try to make this chapter a lil longer. Wow, I have 18 readers for this book. I think that's the most that I've gotten so far on a book that I've written! Thank you guys for reading my book!! I really really hope you like it!! 😊

Momoko's POV

Kaoru still wasn't very pleased that I woke her just to ask her if she can walk with me, but she's knows my mother's rules and how strict they can be. So I guess she was fine with it. Kaoru, wearing a pair of black boy shorts and a green t-shirt, had her hands stuffed in her pocket as we wait for Miyako to show up. We stood in front of our new school, waiting. Its a three story brick building that seemed so big when you look up. I just can't believe we're finally in 9th grade! After awhile I check my sparkly, pink watch to see that there was only 10 minutes left until the bell rings.
"Where is she??" I groaned. We were never late to class and I certainly don't want to start this year.
Mr. Mayor arranged for us to be in the same class every year. I'm actually a bit glad for that since I get to see my friends everyday. Kaoru starts to grumble when we see the blond-headed girl in question running towards us.
"I'm .... Sorry... I ... Slept... In...." She says between gasps. Her hair in its usual way as somewhat frizzy and a bit wet as though she hurried into the shower and got out as quickly as possible. Her outfit, though, didn't have not even a drop of water on it. Her shirt was the perfect sky blue that matched her eyes and her skirt was just a bit darker though you could hardly notice. She looked as if she was about to say something else when Kaoru interrupted.
"No time to talk, we've got five minutes till the bell!" She said rather loud, making some kids look at us, as she grabbed our wrists and ran to our home room class. Though many students kind of glared at us when we bumped into and knocked down their stuff, or sometimes even them, Kaoru didn't stop. She really didn't like being late and if you were late, you would get detention. Kaoru HATES detention.
We got to choose where we sat and when we did, they would be our seats for the rest of the year. Unless, of course, the teacher moves you because of how you act around the people around you. I'm by the window, of course. Miyako is in the seat behind me and Kaoru is in the seat in front of me.
Mrs. Keane was saying how excited we should all be that we're finally in 9th grade, but I think I was the only one who cared. Since Mrs. Keanu is a nice teacher she let us have a free day, so I'm doodling in my notebook thinking. I get out a piece of paper and wrote 'Do you remember when we used to fight the RRBs when we were 6?'

I passed the note behind me to Miyako when the teacher wasn't looking. I didn't want anyone to know who we are, that will be very very bad if the whole school knew. I felt a piece of paper hit my head as I heard a giggle from behind me. Concealing my smile, I read Miyako's reply, 'Yes, I do. Why bring it up?'

I think for a moment, tapping my pencil to my chin, before I write down my reply. I tell her, 'I don't know... I kind of miss fighting them... Sure, I hate fighting but I love protecting New Townsville... And without the boys, it doesn't seem right. Don't get me wrong, I'm not starting to like them. If anything, I hate their stinking guts! Remember what Brick did to me?'

It was a bit long, but I'm sure Miyako wouldn't mind. I passed the note back to her, knowing that it might take awhile for her to answer. I start to rub the scar on my arm as I wait, the one that Brick gave me during our last fight before they disappeared.

*FLASHBACK*
Dodging an attack from Brick's boomerang, I looked for a weapon. My yo-yo was somewhere out on the battlefield, waiting to be found. Spying a glass bottle a few feet away from me, I ran towards it while dodging another attack.
"Are ya scared, pinky?" Brick asked with a teasing attitude. "Are you going to go crying to your Daddy?" He said with a smirk. He was flying ten feet in front of me with that RowdyRuff Boy outfit of his. He looked like he enjoyed messing with me and my emotions.... Well I'll show him!
"Never.... Ever... Play... With a girl's emotions!!!" I say in short breathes, though I yelled the last part, as I throw the glass bottle with all my might. Though I know this didn't happen, time really did seem to slow down and possible stop as the bottle spun uncontrollably to his head. The look on his face should have made me smile, but it didn't. If anything my face looked like, it was with shock and surprise. Maybe it even showed that I was afraid. Afraid of what Brick might do, afraid of what his brothers will do, and even afraid of actually hurting him.

The glass bottle, after what seemed like forever, hit his face just as he put his arms up. Though he blocked his face, the glass, as it shattered, pierced a deep long cut in his right cheek, just barely missing his eye. Blood ran down his face as he gently touched it. He flinched as he looked at the dark red on his fingers. I stare at him, unable to comprehend what I had done. Yes, we fight to the point of exhaustion, but we've never actually did real damage. We fight till we are covered with bruises, till we limp home because of twisted ankles and so much more. But never to the point where we've actually drawn blood.
It seemed like minutes, hours, and even days before he finally looked up at me. Turning his face towards me, his red fiery eyes filled with anger as he clenched his fists. I knew he was going to get me back, don't ask me how, but I just knew. Spotting my yo-yo a few feet behind him, I ran. Brick, of course, didn't expect that I would run right towards him so it took a minute till he did something. Trying to hit me as I went around him, he then quickly realized what I was going for. He tried to stop me but he was a bit too late. I grabbed the yo-yo and started flying towards the sky. He somewhat growled in frustration as he flew after me, he didn't like it when he couldn't get revenge. Even though we were six, we were acting like we were adults.
I stopped flying for a second to catch my breath and to see if I could possibly hide in the clouds. The wind was blowing hard and strong. For the first time, I actually had trouble flying. I felt something heading in my direction. Looking back, I saw an object heading towards my face. Instincts took over as my hands went to shield my head. Pain erupted in my left arm as the object made contact. Biting back a yell, I turn to see Brick with a look of determination. I could tell he was holding back a smirk. Cradling my injured arm, I scowled at him.
"Had enough, Pinky?" He slightly yelled. Though he sounded angry and his face was serious, I could tell he wanted to smile. I would have said something, but he started to say something again.
"We won't see each other for awhile, Pinky. When us boys come back, we'll be smarter and stronger. It won't be easy getting rid of us." And with that he left. I stayed there, up in the clouds. Thinking and wondering what he might.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

The next day, we didn't see anything from the RowdyRuff Boys to know when they'll be back. We waited for days, weeks, months, and years for them to show up to laugh and say "Haha we tricked you!" Though we hoped and, for some reason, even prayed, it never happened. The boys never returned to do what we thought they might.
"Momoko!" A hand waved in front of my face, snapping me out of the past. I blinked, seeing Miyako and Kaoru standing in front of my with worried expressions on their faces. I would have said something, I would have asked something, but the bell ran. Quickly gathering my stuff, I met my friends outside my locker to go to lunch.
"Momoko, is something wrong?" Kaoru asked with concern. Though she doesn't like anything girly, she'll still be there for me when I'm in need. I sigh as I explained my conversation with Miyako in class.
"Oh by the way, what was your reply to my question?" I ask, turning towards her.
"I wrote that, 'yeah. I kinda miss them too, but remember what you did to Brick first?' You did hurt him first." Miyako is right... I didn't hurt him first.
"You guys actually miss those trouble makers?!" Kaoru laughed. "I'm glad those boys are gone. It's been pretty peaceful ever since they left!" It's true, ever since the boys left the criminal activity did go down. The professor, who is our 'dad', and Ken, who is our 'brother', have no explanation or any prediction on when they would come back. If they come back, that is.
I never got a chance to reply because the next thing I know, I'm on the ground with my stuff everywhere.
'The universe is very very gruel to me.' I think to myself as I rub my head. Then a voice spoke, a very very familiar voice. Though I don't know where I remember it from...
"I'm sorry, I didn't see where I was going! Are you ok?" A hand extended in front of me as I look up, with my hand still on my forehead. Fiery red eyes filled with concern met my pink eyes. Where have I seen those eyes before, I wonder.
